Dr. John Huffman, MD is a pain management physician practicing at Interventional Pain and Regenerative Medicine Specialists in Arlington, Virginia on the campus of the Virginia Hospital Center. Dr. Kapteyn received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV, followed by a medical internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Kapteyn then pursued his residency at Georgetown University and the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington D.C. Dr. Kapteyn has gained recognition for his skills in minimally invasive ultrasound guided procedures, including carpal tunnel release and trigger finger releases, as well as TenJet for elbow tenotomy, hip, shoulder, and achilles tendon. In addition to spinal injections, Dr Kapteyn performs procedures such as basi-vertebral nerve ablation, interspinous vertiflex for spinal stenosis, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, kyphoplasty and radiofrequency ablation. George Drakes, MD, is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist and interventional pain management physician highly specialized in pain relief. Dr. Drakes is the Medical Director and Founder of Metro Spine PC, with offices in Clinton, Takoma Park, and Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Inspired by a family that promoted healthy living and medicine, Dr. Drakes pursued a career in Pain Medicine and Rehabilitation with a passion for impacting the lives of those living with pain. He attended Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1986 and completed his residency in 1990 at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan — a Wayne State University-affiliated hospital.
