He is involved in The North American Spine Society as part of the Rehabilitation, Intervention and Medical Spine (RIMs) Society as well as being faculty for the Advanced Spinal Workshop for many years; He is also involved in Committee’s in the Spine Intervention Society (SIS) and also involved in other societies like the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He is Fellowship Director of the first North American Spine Society accredited fellowship in Houston in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. He also continues to teach fellows at the Houston Methodist Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowships, and Residents at Memorial Hermann Family Medicine, University of Texas, Houston and at the Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Benny is an Interventional Physiatrist. He is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine Physician specializing in the Spine and Musculoskeletal/Sports issues.
