Matthew Root, DO, is the founder of Innovative Pain and Spine Center in Toluca Lake, located in the North Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. With dual board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as pain medicine, Dr. Root takes an integrative approach that incorporates each patient’s personal goals. Dr. Glaser
Jeffrey Glaser, MD, is a double board-certified interventional pain management physician and the founder of Glaser Pain Relief Center, serving the communities of Encino, California, the San Fernando Valley, and the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Dr. Glaser earned his medical degree at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in anesthesiology at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Glaser is board-certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Glaser specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders that cause pain, with a large focus on spine mediated pain (i.e., back pain, neck pain, and sciatica) due to conditions such as herniated/bulging discs, arthritis of the spine, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, and failed back surgery syndrome. Some other conditions he treats include (but are not limited to) migraines, peripheral neuropathy, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).
The initial diagnosis and workup of the condition causing pain are crucial to developing a comprehensive treatment plan. Dr. Glaser’s treatment plans are usually multi-modal and may include minimally invasive procedures, medication management, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications. He may incorporate controlled substances such as Percocet and Norco into a short-term treatment plan, but rarely encourages or prescribes long-term, around-the-clock opioids for non-cancer pain.

John Zheng, DO, is an interventional pain management physician at Glaser Pain Relief Center in Encino, California, serving the San Fernando Valley and Greater Los Angeles Area.
Dr. Zheng earned his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He then completed an internship at the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California, through UCSF-Fresno, and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
