Dr. Danielle Aretz, DO is a native of San Diego, California and received dual bachelor’s degrees at the University of California, Berkeley concentrating her studies in Cell and Molecular Biology and Nutritional Science. She obtained her medical degree from Touro University, College of Osteopathic Medicine where engagement of the body’s self-healing mechanisms was emphasized. Dr. Aretz went on to complete her pediatric residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. During her initial footsteps in pediatric medicine, she became keenly aware of an appreciable link between quality of mental wellbeing and quality of physical health as it relates to development of acute and chronic illness and responsiveness to treatment strategies. In support of this recognition, she pivoted from her work in the urgent care setting to Center Point Medicine, inspired to provide healthcare through the use of counseling, integrated with clinical hypnosis.
Dr. Aretz is passionate about teaching children and adolescents how to use their mind to help themselves, empowering young people through personalized care. Being a mother of two young children has underscored the importance of celebrating the unique qualities of the whole child. She serves as a council member on the National Parent Education Network, which has enriched her focus upon the importance of supporting the wellbeing of the family unit through early education.
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Dr. Aretz received training in hypnosis from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
Her other passions include spending time in nature with her family which often takes her to the beach, bike riding along the coast, or open-ended exploring. She finds joy in writing children’s literature, traveling, art of all types, and sharing a good laugh with her friends and family.
