With diverse interests in Medicine, Dr. Atanassova-Lineva has published scholarly articles on the subjects of obesity, nutrition, sports medicine and children with cleft lip and palate. Shortly after graduating from Medical University she led research in neuroscience and child's psychiatry.
In 2016 Dr Atanassova-Lineva lost her 20 year old daughter Stefani Lineva ( a division 1 Tennis player in pre-med College) in a hit and run accident. The tragedy inspired her to create a Non for Profit Organization in memory of her beloved Stefani, "Stefani Forever 20 ". Together with her son Daniel she became the CEO of this organization with the Mission to promote the game of tennis to all unprivileged children in the World.

The International Association of Top Professionals honored Dr. Atanassova-Lineva as the “Top Pediatrician of the Year for 2022”. At the International Business Excellence Awards in 2023, Dr. Atanassova-Lineva was honored with the “Lifetime Achievement in Pediatric Medical Care Award”.
