Her passion for working with children took root during her college years while volunteering in the NICU/PICU at Children's Hospital of Michigan. These experiences, where she offered comfort and care to hospitalized children, solidified her commitment to pediatric healthcare and inspired her to pursue a career in this field as a PA.

Since joining our practice in 2020, Sydney has made it her mission to create a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment where children can receive high-quality medical care with confidence and ease.

Fiona Carroll, MD, is a dedicated and caring pediatrician committed to providing the highest quality healthcare for newborns, children, and adolescents. She brings kindness, laughter, and fun to work daily at the Child & Adolescent Health Center in Lathrup Village, Michigan. 

Born and raised in Detroit, Dr. Carroll attended the University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Medicine. She trained in pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Dr. Carroll earned her board certification in pediatrics in 2003 and is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

Dr. Carroll has over 20 years of experience practicing general pediatrics in the Midwest. As a mother, she has spent 20 years raising a daughter and two sons. Pediatrics is her passion, work, and play. She would be honored to be your child’s pediatrician.

Board-certified pediatrician Jennifer Supol, DO, brings nearly two decades of experience to the team at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC. She provides care to children throughout Bingham Farms and Novi, Michigan. 

Dr. Supol completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She went on to earn her medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa. Following her internship at Bi-County Community Hospital, Dr. Supol began her residency in pediatrics at Henry Ford Hospital and finished at Children's Hospital of Michigan. 

At Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC, Dr. Supol cares for children throughout every stage of growth and development, from infancy to adolescence. She is skilled at treating both acute and chronic conditions, including allergies, asthma, upper respiratory tract infections, and bronchitis, to name a few. Ehud H. Kapen, MD, known to the team at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC, as “Dr. Udi,” is a board-certified pediatrician dedicated to providing comprehensive care to children in Bingham Farms and Novi, Michigan. 

Dr. Kapen earned his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Kapen then completed his residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Michigan. 

Having been in practice for over two decades, Dr. Kapen brings a wealth of experience to the team at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC. He cares for children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. Dr. Kapen is skilled in the diagnosis of both acute and chronic conditions and partners with parents throughout every step of their child’s healthcare journey.

Robert Blum, DO, is a compassionate, board-certified pediatrician at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC. He provides comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents living in and around Bingham Farms and Novi, Michigan. 

Dr. Blum received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. Afterward, he completed his pediatric residency at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Blum makes a continuous effort to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pediatric medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. 

At Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC, Dr. Blum strives to provide the highest quality care to ensure the children in his care are happy and healthy. While he provides a variety of pediatric services, Dr. Blum’s special interests are in behavioral pediatrics and osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Suzanne Peplinski, DO, is a compassionate, board-certified pediatrician committed to partnering with families in Bingham Farms and Novi, Michigan, in the care of their children. She brings over a decade of experience to the team at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC. 

After completing her undergraduate studies at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan, Dr. Peplinski earned her medical degree from Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. She completed her residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.  

Dr. Peplinski cares for children throughout every stage of their childhood. In addition to providing routine care like physicals and well-child exams, she is also skilled in providing guidance and treatment options for conditions such as allergies, asthma, and ADHD. 

When she’s not in the office caring for patients, Dr. Peplinski enjoys spending time with her family. Dr. Peplinski, her husband, and her daughter are all active runners and enjoy going up north for adventures.

Preeti Thabolingam, MD, or “Dr. T,” as she’s known around the office, is a board-certified pediatrician at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC. Dr. Thabolingam sees patients at the practice’s two convenient office locations in Bingham Farms and Novi, Michigan.

Dr. Thabolingam completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois and went on to receive her medical degree from Ross Medical School. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. 

At Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC, Dr. Thabolingam provides the full scope of pediatric care. She loves working with all pediatric age groups and is passionate about ensuring the health and well-being of children from birth through adulthood. Partnering with parents, she offers personalized treatment to each child in her care. 

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Thabolingam enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, a local internal medicine doctor, recently welcomed their first child.

Robert Roman, MD, is a pediatrician on the team at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC. Dr. Roman provides compassionate care for children throughout Bingham Farms and Novi, Michigan. 

Dr. Roman is a native Detroiter. After attending the University of Michigan and receiving a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, he went on to graduate from Wayne State Medical School in 1975. Dr. Roman completed three years of residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and is board certified in pediatrics.

Before joining Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC, Dr. Roman practiced general pediatrics in the area for 40 years. He was the Department Chair for Pediatrics at Providence Hospital for 10 years and on staff at Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Roman has also served on four charity boards and completed 10 medical missions in Zambia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Vietnam. He hopes to do more in the near future. 

Dr. Roman is happily married to Tammy and has three children, whom he is very proud of. When not involved in practicing medicine, he enjoys weight training, exercising, cooking at the local soup kitchen, volunteering, reading (not social media), and fishing. 

Dr. Roman is looking forward to meeting new patients and learning how he can be of service to them in the coming years.

Natalie Blum, DO, is a board-certified pediatrician dedicated to providing compassionate care for children throughout Bingham Farms and Novi, Michigan, at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC.

Dr. Blum earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and went on to receive her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. Dr. Blum completed her pediatrics residency at St John's Hospital and Medical Center. 

At Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC, Dr. Blum enjoys caring for children of all ages. From routine well-child exams to helping manage conditions such as asthma and allergies, Dr. Blum partners with children and their families from infancy to adulthood to ensure optimal health as they grow and develop. 

Dr. Blum is proud to work alongside her father, Dr. Robert Blum, and her grandfather, Dr. George Blum. Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC, is excited to have three generations of Blums caring for patients.

MarySue Sylwestrzak, MD, brings over 25 years of pediatric experience to the team at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC. Dr. Sylwestrzak is proud to serve children and their families in Bingham Farms and Novi, Michigan. 

After attending Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Dr. Sylwestrzak completed her residency at Children's Hospital of Michigan. She then practiced with Dr. Robert Roman until they merged with Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC. 

While she provides the full scope of pediatric care, Dr. Sylwestrzak has special expertise in obesity, ADD/ADHD, and alternative/complementary medicine. She also holds a certification in herbal medicine. Dr. Sylwestrzak works alongside parents in the care of their children and strives to provide the highest quality of services. 

Dr. Sylwestrzak is married and has two grown daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crafting, and cooking. She speaks a reasonable amount of Spanish and Japanese, with more limited skills in Korean and Ojibwe.

George Blum, MD, specializes in pediatrics, allergies, and immunology. He is proud to partner with families in the care of their children at Southfield Pediatric Physicians, PC. Dr. Blum sees patients at the practice's two convenient locations in Bingham Farms and Novi, Michigan.

After graduating from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dr. Blum completed his residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Michigan and the University of Michigan Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.  

Dr. Blum makes every effort to stay active in his field. He is a past President of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Michigan Chapter, and is a current member of the National Nominating Committee of the AAP. 

In addition to holding the position of Secretary Treasurer for the University of Michigan Pediatric Alumni Society, Dr. Blum is a member of the Board of Governors for the University of Michigan Alumni Society and is a Clinical Associate Professor at Wayne State University Medical School.

Itemad Badr, MD, is a board-certified allergy and immunology physician at Asthma, Allergy, & Immunology Center, serving people of all ages living in and around Troy and Lathrup Village, Michigan.

Dr. Badr began her professional education at the University of Damascus in Syria, earning her Doctor of Medicine. Following graduation, she moved to the United States and completed residency training in the department of pediatrics at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. 

Before entering private practice, Dr. Badr completed a fellowship in allergies and immunology at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit.

Dr. Badr is a diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. She loves getting to know the people in her care and uses cutting-edge treatments to relieve uncomfortable symptoms and improve the quality of life.
