Board-certified pediatrician Amanda C. Carpenter, DO, FAAP, provides expert pediatric care at Northeast Pediatric Associates PA. Ike W. Pauli Jr., MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician with the team at Northeast Pediatric Associates PA and sees patients at the practice’s Stone Oak office in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Pauli earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1994 and later joined the team at Northeast Pediatric Associates in 1997. He is board certified through the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Pauli spends most of his time with his three greatest loves: his faith, his family, and his pediatric practice. He has been married for over three decades to the love of his life, Vicki, and has an amazing daughter, Paisley, who is currently in Baylor’s Neurodevelopmental Pediatric Residency at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. He devotes a great deal of time to his church, Cornerstone, with their international television ministry for over 40 years. He is also the medical director and school board president for Cornerstone Christian School and the co-medical director of the Sanctuary of Hope. He is currently the President and CEO for NEPA.
Dr. Pauli enjoys spending his spare time in woodworking, target shooting, riding roller coasters, fishing, traveling, and just spending time with his family. Patricia K. DeForest, DO, is a board-certified pediatrician who has specialized expertise in attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD) and child development. Dr. DeForest treats patients at the San Antonio branch of THINK Neurology for Kids in Texas.
Dr. DeForest majored in education for her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University – Kingsville, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1990. She went on to earn a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix in 2004. After teaching students and professional development for 20 years, Dr. DeForest pursued her passion for medicine. She enrolled at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, to complete her medical degree in 2015.
As a native Texan, Dr. DeForest returned to complete a pediatric residency and a pediatric palliative and hospice medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
