After receiving her B.S. in nutrition from UC Davis and working with kids with learning disabilities and other genetic disorders, Dr. Bagot stayed local to earn her MD at The UC Davis School of Medicine. She received her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree at Oregon Health and Science University in 2005 and worked in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant at OHSU.

Avery Hutchenson, PNP, CLC, is a pediatric nurse practitioner and certified lactation counselor at Sellwood Medical Clinic in Portland, Oregon. Avery is a native Oregonian who began her career as a nurse at Seattle Children's Hospital before moving back to Oregon to work at Randall Children's Hospital. She went on to graduate with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from OHSU and took her wealth of experience in pediatric nursing on to her career as a pediatric nurse practitioner.
Avery is also a certified lactation counselor and loves supporting growing families on their breastfeeding journeys. Avery honors working alongside families and watching kiddos over the years as they grow up happy and healthy. She considers it the best part of primary care!
Avery lives in Portland with her husband and chocolate lab, Zola. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and doing all "granny crafts" (baking sourdough, quilting, and gardening). She also volunteers with a wilderness therapy organization, taking adolescents recovering from cancer on backpacking trips.
