Claire Wilkiemeyer, MD, brings more than a decade of experience in pediatrics to Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics, serving children and adolescents in Atlanta, Georgia, and throughout Fulton County. 

Dr. Wilkiemeyer grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and began her professional education in Virginia, where she earned her undergraduate degree. After obtaining her diploma, Dr. Wilkiemeyer moved to New Orleans and enrolled at the Tulane University School of Medicine, where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Sanny Chan of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Medical group in Santa Monica, CA is board-certified in Allergy and Immunology and Pediatrics as well. Dr. Chan’s goal is to provide personalized care for his patients, both children and adults, with an emphasis on sharing the knowledge needed to manage complex medical conditions. Being diagnosed with severe food allergies and/or immune deficiencies can be very stressful for patients and their families and Dr. Chan strives to improve their quality of life by helping families manage and cope with these conditions.

He was also Assistant Professor in the department of Biomedical Research working on understanding how the immune system causes allergic reactions to pets and foods, as well as teaching residents and fellows how to care for patients.  Over the years, he has published numerous scientific articles in the basic sciences and in the clinical management of immune deficiency and allergic diseases.

Dr. Platner was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He began his professional pursuits at Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned his undergraduate degree. The following year, Dr. Platner enrolled at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. He subsequently completed a residency in pediatrics at Emory University in Atlanta.

I rejoined our Sunshine family as a Nurse Practitioner in September of 2017 at the Yazoo location. She then attended Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences (OSU-College of Osteopathic Medicine) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. 

In 2008, she completed her training at the University of Kansas Wichita and became Board-Certified in Pediatrics that fall. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Upon graduation, she joined Pediatric Associates of Southwest Missouri, where she has enjoyed practicing ever since.

In her spare time, Dr. Meier enjoys spending time with her family, visiting the mountains, and using her artistic side to create beautiful, quilted blankets. She completes each day by catching up with her husband, Ryan, in the evenings and shares an interest in watching crime shows with her daughter.
