Dr. Huang-Lionnet is driven by the passion to improve overall health and wellness of her patients coupled with her desire to improve access to leading, evidence-based treatments for her patients at every stage of their life. Vincent R. Carlesi, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist with a sub-specialty board certification in pain management. Dr. Carlesi is on the staff at Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group, which has four New York locations in Carmel, Newburgh, Mount Kisco, and Fishkill, with another in Danbury, Connecticut. He is also on the staff of Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut. Dr. Carlesi specializes in interventional treatments for chronic pain and is recognized as a leader in his field.
Dr. Carlesi graduated from Ross University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at Stamford Hospital. He then completed a residency in anesthesia at Albany Medical Center and New York Medical College, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Carlesi went on to direct a primary care facility at St. Luke's Hospital, helping the indigent. His positive experience treating pain patients inspired him to pursue pain management.
He then completed fellowship training in pain management at Albany Medical Center and St. Vincent's Medical Center in New York. Dr. Carlesi opened his own pain management practice in Stamford and quickly expanded to Danbury, Connecticut. As Medical Director of Pain Management Associates of Connecticut, Dr. Carlesi oversees a team of specialists with advanced training that work together across multiple healthcare disciplines to treat patients with chronic pain.
He was awarded top doctor from NY Top Docs, a division of USA Top Docs, in 2024.
Dr. Carlesi has had extensive training in various pain management techniques, including epidural steroid injections, facet injections, and joint injections. After graduating he went on to complete his residency in Emergency Medicine at Brooklyn Hospital Center and was Board Certified in 2004. He continued to practice emergency medicine and became an Assistant Professor at Kings County/SUNY Downstate from 2003-2009. Dr. Salem founded Brooklyn Urgent Care in 2006.
