John Crosby, MD, is a highly trained, board-certified anesthesiologist at Louisiana Pain Specialists, with locations in Kenner, Metairie, Laplace, Baton Rouge, Marrero, and New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Crosby boasts over 25 years of experience working as a physician in a variety of medical settings.
Dr. Crosby began his career as an anesthesiologist in Northwest Louisiana, but the desire to treat patients on a more personal level led him to pursue a career as a pain management physician.
He completed his interventional pain fellowship at Texas Tech University in Lubbock under Dr. Miles Day, an international lecturer and instructor. He also worked with Dr. Gabor Racz, a world-renowned pioneer in the field of interventional pain and a charter member of the World Institute of Pain and the National Pain Foundation.
Dr. Crosby offers multiple methods of controlling pain, including ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopically guided procedures, peripheral nerve ablation, and the latest advances in spinal cord neuromodulation/surgical techniques.
He has held several leadership positions while serving as an anesthesiologist in Shreveport, including serving on the board of directors of Christus Health Northwest Louisiana. He was chosen as one of Shreveport/Bossier City’s Top Doctors by the Shreveport Bossier Magazine multiple times.

Dr. Crosby grew up in the area and his family is deeply rooted in Cajun heritage. He has a sincere love for the people of South Louisiana and compassionately welcomes them to Louisiana Pain Specialists.
