Dr. Laura Alicia D'Agostino is a distinguished Hand Surgeon with a rich background in orthopedics, known for her expertise in hand and microsurgery. Born in Argentina, Dr. D'Agostino is certified in Hand Surgery by the Argentine Association for Hand Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery of the upper extremity and in Orthopedic Surgery by the College of Medical Doctors of Santa Fe, Argentina.
Dr. D'Agostino's journey in the field of medicine includes a Hand Surgery senior fellowship at the Christine M Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery (ACGME accredited). Her postgraduate training in Hand Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery of the upper extremity was conducted through the Argentine Association. Earlier, she pursued her Residency in Orthopedics at the Hospital Provincial de Rosario, Argentina, and later served as a Clinical Instructor in the Orthopedic Department at the University of Colorado.
Dr. D'Agostino has contributed significantly to her field, co-authoring "Tips and Tricks in Orthopedic Trauma: A case-based approach" (2017) and publishing "Tobacco use and neurogenesis: A theoretical review of pathophysiological mechanisms affecting the outcome of peripheral nerve regeneration" in the Journal of Orthopedics (2020). She has also served as an international guest speaker at the Mexican and Caribbean Hand Surgery international meeting in Oaxaca, Mexico (2013).

Dr. Vani J Sabesan is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Shoulder and Elbow specialist in Palm Beach, FL. She served as Chief of Quality and held the Lang Family Endowed Chair in Orthopaedic Research at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Before that, she served as program Director of the Orthopaedic Residency Training Program at HCA Florida JFK/ University of MIAMI.
SDr. Sabesan was a founding member of WMU Homer Stryker School of Medicine where she served as the chair of the musculoskeletal course at the medical school and co-chair of the next US Bone and Joint Initiative program to improve musculoskeletal education in medical schools. She has mentored over 150 medical students and residents. She is committed to educating and training the next generation of orthopedic surgeons and is passionate about increasing diversity in her field.
Dr. Sabesan is passionate about research and leadership in her Orthopedic community. She has published over 105 articles in the peer reviewed literature and has served on a number of regional, national, and international committees and boards, including the Florida Orthopaedic Society Board and program chair, American Shoulder and Elbow Society Research and Advocacy committees, AAOS Shoulder and Elbow Committee, International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty Board, Michigan Orthopedic Society Board, Mid America Orthopaedic Society, and American Orthopedic Association (AOA) Emerging Leaders program.
FDr. Sabesan’s commitment to service extends beyond her role as female faculty member through her national work with Women’s Leadership programs, RJOS, and medical mission work. Dr. Sabesan’s contributions to the peer reviewed literature with over 105 publications demonstrates her continued commitment to excellence in clinical and biomechanical research. She lectures both nationally and internationally in her area of expertise. Dr. Sabesan has received numerous honors including the Lang Family Chair in Orthopaedic Research, Young Investigator Grant recipient, Scholar of the year at CCF Florida, RJOS traveling fellowship, MidAmerica Orthopaedic Association traveling fellowship, OREF Clinician Scientist grant, American Orthopaedic Association’s Leadership Fellows Program, and awarded the Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship.
Dr Sabesan values customizing care for each of her patients and providing them with the best possible outcomes after surgery or nonoperative treatment.
