Dr. Atik then finished a competitive fellowship program at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he gained extensive training in hand and microsurgery. Dr. Nader Bakhos is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who provides dedicated and compassionate care at Orthocenter. He specializes in Joint Replacement Surgery, focusing on muscle-sparing and minimally invasive hip and knee replacements.
Dr. Bakhos was born and raised in Monmouth County, NJ. He left New Jersey to pursue his undergraduate degree at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Dr. Bakhos then returned home earning his Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Douglas Navasartian, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Orthocenter, which has locations in Red Bank, Morganville, Eatontown, and Holmdel, New Jersey. He has completed subspecialty fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine.
Dr. Navasartian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general biology and a Master of Science degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Navasartian then completed medical school at the State University of New York in Stony Brook. Following medical school, he completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey, one of the oldest residency programs in the state. Through his residency, he spent time training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as UMDNJ Newark. This allowed him to obtain well-rounded training in numerous aspects of orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Navasartian then went on to complete subspecialty fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. During his fellowship, he was trained by one of the pioneers and founders of modern shoulder arthroscopy, Dr. Stephen Burkhart, MD. Dr. Burkhart invented many of the tools and techniques used in shoulder arthroscopy, and Dr. Navasartian is proud to have had him as a mentor. Because of his training with Dr. Burkhart, Dr. Navasartian is very well-versed in treating some of the most complex shoulder problems using arthroscopic techniques.

As a native of Monmouth County, Jeremy Ruskin, MD, is excited to provide care of the *elbow, wrist, and hand to his patients at Central Jersey Hand Surgery. Dr. Ruskin treats patients in the practice’s offices in Eatontown, Freehold, and Toms River.
Dr. Ruskin earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. From there, he attended Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School and earned his Doctorate of Medicine. He remained at Rutgers where he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. Finally, Dr. Ruskin completed a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery.
As a part of his practice, Dr. Ruskin takes care of injuries throughout the entire upper extremity, from the shoulder down to the fingers. He has a special interest in shoulder replacements, shoulder arthroscopy, traumatic injuries of the elbow, fracture care, the treatment of peripheral nerve injuries, surgical and non-surgical treatment of arthritis, and sports injuries. Paul Codjoe, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics, serving patients in Hamilton, Princeton, and Lawrenceville, New Jersey, as well as in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Dr. Codjoe is passionate about sports medicine and specializes in knee and shoulder injuries, including ACL tears,rotator cuff tears,knee and shoulder arthritis, and shoulder reconstruction.

Dedicated to staying at the forefront of emerging technologies and research for treatment protocols and surgical procedures, Dr. Codjoe was an early provider of OrthAlign, a computer-assisted surgical tool for precision joint replacement. He was also one of the initial surgeons to perform anterolateral ligament reconstruction, a complex surgical procedure to improve rotational stability in the knee.
Dr. Codjoe has been an attending physician and has served for more than 10 years as the director of the Sports Medicine and the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Capital Health Hospitals in Central New Jersey.
