Chinedu O. Nwasike, M.D. joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2021. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and treats all conditions of the spine with both non-operative and operative modalities.
Dr. Nwasike attended college at Columbia University, School of Engineering in New York City, New York where he received his Undergraduate Degree in 2009. He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2014 where he was enrolled in the Physician Scientist Training Program. Dr. Nwasike remained at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he completed his Orthopedic Surgical Residency in 2019, during which time he was elected Chief Resident. Following his residency, he completed his fellowship training at the prestigious Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he trained in all aspects of spine care.
Dr. Nwasike specializes in degenerative spine disorders, scoliosis, spine tumors, and disc herniation. His surgical techniques include minimally invasive spine surgery, disc replacement, and robotic spine surgery with computerized navigation. He has a special interest in revision surgery as well as endoscopic spine surgery.
Dr. Nwasike was born & raised in Los Angeles but now calls Las Vegas home. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, weight-lifting, golfing, snowboarding, and spending time with his dog.
Edward S. Ashman, MD, joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2003. He is fellowship-trained in the surgical treatment of athletic injuries of the shoulder, knee, and elbow. He is currently on faculty as an assistant professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
Dr. Ashman was born in Johnson City, New York, and received a Bachelor of Science in 1992 from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He attended New York’s Albany Medical College, where he received his doctor of medicine in 1997. He completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Albany Medical Center.
In 2003, Dr. Ashman completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Nirschl Sports Clinic at Georgetown Medical Center in Washington, D.C., under the guidance of the renowned Dr. Robert P. Nirschl. During this fellowship, Dr. Ashman served as a team physician for the George Mason University football and basketball teams.
Dr. Ashman practices at the highest level of sports medicine, having treated many professional athletes, including members of the ATP professional tennis tour and the AVP professional beach volleyball tour. He regularly provides care for performers in many of the largest and most popular shows on the Las Vegas Strip, including Cirque Du Soleil productions.
Shain L. Howard, DO, is a fellowship-trained Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, proudly serving the Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. He specializes in orthopedic surgery and has a passion for providing preventive health care to patients in need. Dr. Howard returned to Las Vegas to join Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2021 after completing his Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Fellowship at the University of Texas in San Antonio.
As a Las Vegas native, Dr. Howard has worked in the surrounding Las Vegas area since the age of 15. He welded and fabricated as an iron worker to support his Bachelor's Degree, which he earned in Biological Sciences at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Dr. Howard then attended medical school at Touro University Nevada in Henderson. During this time, he helped organize and participated in medical missions to both Guatemala and Peru. These have been among the most rewarding experiences of his life.
He spent the following five years developing his clinical and surgical skills through the Valley Health System's Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program. Dr. Howard had wide-ranging exposure to sports injuries during this time, including both non-operative and surgical treatments.
After completing his surgical residency, Dr. Howard then elected to pursue additional fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery at the University of Texas — a busy Level I Trauma Center which has played a historic role in orthopedic surgery and is also home to many of the pioneers in the world of orthopedics. His fellowship training included pelvic fractures, acetabular fractures, and polytrauma injuries of the highest severity.
Additionally, Dr. Howard's fellowship training included non-union, malunion, deformity correction, and joint reconstruction in special cases. Coupled with his prior training in sports injuries and basic fracture care, Dr. Howard is equipped to treat a broad range of injuries, from single joint/limb injury to life-threatening polytrauma.
Dr. Howard loves spending time with family, including his wife and daughter. During his spare time, he can regularly be found helping others meet their fitness goals and training competitively alongside them. Dr. Howard enjoys weight-lifting, gymnastics, CrossFit, snowboarding, surfing, and the beach. His understanding of the protective effects of health and fitness (whether an acute traumatic injury, sports injury, or medical ailments in general) is a fundamental tenet of his philosophy.
Ronald W. Hillock, MD, joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2011 and sees patients at their office in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Hillock is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disease and adult joint reconstruction surgery.
Dr. Hillock was born in Dover, Delaware. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Riverside. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University in California. He completed a transitional internship in orthopedic surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso.
Dr. Hillock completed his fellowship in orthopedic oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine in Santa Monica.
Dr. Hillock has served as the Chief of Surgery for the 67th Combat Support Hospital during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Chief of Orthopedic Surgery Rehabilitation Service at the U.S. Army Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany. He has also served as the chairman of the patient safety committee for the Loma Linda University Medical Center Orthopedic Hospital.

Kevin A. Laroche, MD, joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center, located in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2020. He specializes in managing injuries both nonoperatively and operatively by specifically utilizing evidence-based medicine to address pathologies from the fingertip to the shoulder. For injuries that require surgical operative management, Dr. Laroche performs some procedures using only local anesthesia allowing his patients to avoid general anesthesia.
Dr. Laroche was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Hunter College in New York City, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors. He went on to attend the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. After medical school, Dr. Laroche completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Following his time in Charlottesville, he completed additional subspecialty fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University. During his fellowship, Dr. Laroche received extensive and comprehensive training in hand and upper extremity surgery, including microvascular surgery and upper extremity joint replacements. Also, he has multiple peer-reviewed publications, and his research has been presented at regional and national conferences.

Michael D. Thomas, MD, joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2005 and sees patients at their offices in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada. He specializes in pediatric orthopedics, scoliosis, and spinal deformities in children and adolescents. His treatment philosophy is to utilize non-surgical options to their fullest extent possible, consistent with an optimal outcome. He is committed to the education and engagement of parents and patients about their treatment options.
Dr. Thomas was born in Hempstead, Texas, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and completed his orthopedic surgical residency at Howard University Hospital. He then completed a pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at Newington Children’s Hospital in Connecticut.
Before joining Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center, Dr. Thomas served for 17 years as the attending surgeon at the Division of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., consistently ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation. He possesses vast experience gained during his time at this Level 1 trauma center and teaching hospital. He directed the care of thousands of children with a diverse array of traumatic, congenital, acquired, and developmental orthopedic conditions.
While in Washington, Dr. Thomas held the position of Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatrics at George Washington University Medical Center. Dr. Thomas was twice cited as a top doctor by metropolitan area physicians in a survey conducted by Washingtonian Magazine.
Dr. Thomas has studied the care of patients with severe scoliosis in conjunction with the Minnesota Spine Center, the Spine Deformity Study Group, and other leading national centers. He also studied the Ponseti Method of clubfoot care under the renowned Ignacio Ponseti, M.D., and has authored numerous articles, book chapters, papers, and presentations.
Arthur J. Taylor, MD, joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 1996. At the practice's offices in Las Vegas, Nevada. He focuses on the treatment of hand, wrist, and elbow disorders. Dr. Taylor is an associate professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine within the Department of Hand and Microsurgery at University Medical Center in Las Vegas. In this capacity, he applies his specialty training in microvascular surgery and is actively involved in solving problems requiring replantation or transplantation of tissue. He is also chief of orthopedic and hand surgery at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Previously, Dr. Taylor served as head of the hand surgery at Carle Foundation Hand Center in Urbana, Illinois, as well as a faculty member within the department of surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Dr. Taylor most recently participated as a clinical investigator that led to the expanded use of Xiaflex®, a drug used to non-surgically treat Dupuytren’s Contracture, a condition that can cause one or more fingers to stay bent toward the palm.

Reynold L. Rimoldi, MD, joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 1995 and sees patients at the practice's office in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Rimoldi specializes in the fields of spinal surgery, sports medicine, general orthopedics, and trauma. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgery in the field of spinal disc replacement and spinal fusions. He is also accomplished in performing ligament and cartilage repairs in the knee and shoulder utilizing arthroscopic techniques.
Dr. Rimoldi was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He received his Doctor of Medicine with honors at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1984. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, in 1989. Dr. Rimoldi completed a fellowship in spine surgery at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center in Downey, California. He then completed a second fellowship in sports medicine at the Hughston Clinic for Sports Medicine in Columbus, Georgia.
Dr. Justin Limtong is a fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon with a specialized focus on Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction. His journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He then earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and went on to complete his residency from Broward Health Medical Center, a preeminent Level 1 trauma center located in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. During his tenure here, he embraced the role of chief resident in Orthopedic Surgery, a responsibility that saw him fine-tune his surgical skills and amass comprehensive expertise spanning the spectrum of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Limtong then completed his fellowship in total joint arthroplasty at the esteemed Cleveland Clinic Florida. He performs a spectrum of advanced procedures including the precision of robotically assisted total and partial knee replacements, muscle sparing Direct Anterior hip replacements, as well as revision total knee and hip arthroplasty. His versatility also encompasses managing fractures and other orthopedic injuries.

Thomas C. Kim, MD, joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2002 and sees patients at their office in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Kim specializes in pediatric and adult sports medicine and is fellowship-trained in the surgical treatment of athletic injuries focusing on disorders of the shoulder, hip, and knee with an emphasis on arthroscopic surgery of these joints.
Dr. Kim was raised in Los Angeles, California, and attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he graduated magna cum laude, meaning ‘with great distinction,’ receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. As an undergraduate, he was nominated into Sigma Xi, one of the world’s oldest honor societies that recognize achievements in science and engineering, for his research in organic chemistry. He also earned early acceptance into the Georgetown University School of Medicine, from where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree.
Dr. Kim completed a year of general surgical residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and completed his orthopedic training through the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program.
He then completed a sports medicine fellowship at Harvard University in Boston under the renowned orthopedic surgeon Lyle Micheli, MD. During this fellowship, he provided medical coverage to the Boston Ballet, Boston Marathon, Bay State Games, and several local high schools and collegiate hockey and football teams. This fellowship also involved training at Boston Children’s Hospital, a facility that features a sports medicine division that was the first in the nation devoted to the treatment of pediatric and adolescent athletes.
Michael S. Bradford, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who joined the team at Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 1994. He sees patients at the practice's offices in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Bradford is an accomplished adult reconstructive surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive hip and knee replacements. He has a particular interest in assessing and revising failed total hip and knee replacements.

Kayvon R. Golshani, MD, joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2018 and sees patients at their office in Henderson, Nevada. He specializes in the non-surgical and surgical management of traumatic and degenerative disorders of the shoulder, arm, hand, wrist, elbow, and forearm.
Dr. Golshani graduated with honors from Miami University in 2008, earning a Bachelor of Arts. He subsequently received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2012 and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
After medical school, Dr. Golshani completed his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. During his training, he worked on research in various aspects of the field, including resident education, tennis elbow, soft-tissue coverage for infected total knee replacement, and upper extremity injuries in weightlifters.
Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Golshani pursued an additional year of subspecialty fellowship training, specializing in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery as well as microsurgery at Tufts University in Boston. During this time, he worked under the guidance of several world-renowned hand surgeons at both Tufts Medical Center and New England Baptist Hospital. In his spare time, Dr. Golshani enjoys weightlifting, hiking, socializing with friends, and traveling the world. Dr. Golshani was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is fluent in English and Farsi, and speaks some Spanish.
Holman Chan, MD, joined the team at Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2013 and currently sees patients at their office in Henderson, Nevada. He specializes in orthopedic trauma, general orthopedic surgery, and the treatment of lower extremity disorders, including acquired deformities of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Chan was born in Vancouver, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2002 from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and then attended the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, where he received a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2006. He completed his surgical internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Alberta in 2011 while serving as chief resident of orthopedic surgery.
Also in 2011, Dr. Chan completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.

Kevin R. Sharif, MD, joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 2016 and sees patients at their office in Henderson, Nevada.
Dr. Sharif is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine as a dean’s list student in 2010. Dr. Sharif completed his orthopedic surgical residency at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where he was elected chief resident, consistently scoring among the highest in-training exam scores in the nation. Following residency, he completed a combined fellowship in orthopedic/neurosurgical adult and pediatric spine surgery at the prestigious Norton Leatherman Spine Center under the direction of renowned Drs. John Dimar, Rolando Puno, and Steven Glassman, past-president of the Scoliosis Research Society.

Keith W. Kotecki, D.O. returns to Las Vegas to join Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center after completing his training in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a fellowship-trained Adult Hip and Knee Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes in primary and complex revision hip and knee arthroplasty surgeries.
Dr. Kotecki has a particular focus on minimally invasive surgical techniques, robotic-assisted joint replacement, and partial knee replacement. His expertise includes the muscle-sparing direct anterior hip replacement, bikini incision anterior hip replacement, outpatient joint replacement, revision surgery, as well as unicompartmental and total knee replacement.
Dr. Kotecki utilizes the most current techniques in joint replacement by adopting the rapid recovery protocol and uses cutting edge pain management techniques allowing patients to recover from surgery without using intravenous narcotics.
Dr. Kotecki graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of San Diego in 2009. He then had a 5-year career as a Mechanical Engineer in San Diego before attending medical school. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree in 2018 from Touro University in Henderson, Nevada.
Dr. Kotecki completed his Orthopedic Surgical Residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV. Following his surgical residency, Dr. Kotecki then spent an additional year of subspecialty fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA - affiliated with Drexel University.
Dr. Kotecki has published several medical articles on various research topics including Prosthetic Joint Infection Treatment and Novel Hip Replacement Techniques. He has presented his research both locally and at national orthopedic meetings.
He was born and raised in upstate New York where he spent most summers working in construction for the family business. He loves spending time with family, including his wife and two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, snowboarding, traveling, auto maintenance and modification, and is a craft beer connoisseur.
