John Stelmach, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who sees patients at Commonwealth Orthopaedic Associates in Reading, Pennsylvania. He specializes in joint replacement surgery and has a special interest in reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee.
Dr. Stelmach graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, and he earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.
After graduating, he completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopaedic surgery, both at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed his medical training with a fellowship in joint replacement surgery at Joint Implant Surgeons in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Stelmach is certified by the American Board of orthopaedic Surgery. He’s a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Eastern orthopaedic Association. He is affiliated with the Surgical Institute of Reading, Tower Health Reading Hospital, and Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.
