Then, he moved to Massachusetts for a sports medicine fellowship at Harvard University Massachusetts General Hospital. It was during this fellowship that he was a team physician for the New England Patriots, the Boston Bruins, and the athletic teams at Harvard University.
At Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, Dr. Smink frequently treats athletic injuries for adults and youth. He often performs joint replacements and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder.

Dr. Wowk’s surgical expertise and interest are in sports medicine and arthritis of the knee. He performs arthroscopic surgery of the knee, total and partial knee replacement, and prosthetic knee revision surgery. Dr. Wowk is certified in computer-navigated total and partial knee replacement surgery as well as in cartilage preservation surgery.
