Dr. Gaurav Abbi grew up in the Bay Area and attended UC San Diego for medical school. He trained at UC Davis in Orthopedic surgery and did a fellowship in spine surgery at NYU-Hospital for Joint Disease. From 2012-2016, he worked at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center as the Chief of Spine surgery in the Orthopedic department and as an associate Professor at Stanford.
He has now been in the peninsula area in private practice for 7 years, He has a strong proficiency and interest in spine, joint replacement and fracture care. He is the chair of orthopedic surgery at Seton Medical center. He also works at San Mateo county hospital, helping treat an under-served population in the community.
For fun, he enjoys playing with this kids and following Bay Area sports.
Dr. Shin graduated magna cum laude from UCLA and earned his medical degree at the UC Davis School of Medicine. After his residency, he completed a prestigious fellowship with the Department of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Shin has brought his orthopaedic expertise around the world—to places such as Guatemala and African countries—and as a part of volunteer medical missions he has provided treatment and surgery to individuals who might have otherwise been saddled with lifelong joint pain or limited mobility.
Serving as a leader in the innovation of orthopaedic surgical treatment, Dr. Shin has published nationally recognized and award-winning research on arthroscopic treatment of shoulder and knee injuries. Recently trained in the latest techniques, he treats joint problems of all kinds, including more advanced joint pathology with partial and complete joint replacement when necessary. Dr. Shin is also one of the few surgeons in the area to offer arthroscopic hip treatment.
After 34 years of dedicated service, Dr. Jeffrey Schubiner, our founding partner, has retired. Dr. Schubiner, known for his extensive experience in orthopedics and his role as a team doctor for local sports teams, has been deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve you and your patients.

Dr. Terence Delaney is an orthopedic surgeon in Los Gatos, California and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including El Camino Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College and has been in practice for more than 25 years.
Dr Delaney is a Stanford University fellowship trained Joint Replacement specialist and sports medicine specialist.
