He then went through a comprehensive orthopedic surgery residency at the United States Naval Medical Center in San Diego.
While serving as the team captain and All-American center on the football team during college, Dr. Anderson gained a unique perspective on the elite level of athletics as a young competitor. This experience helped carve his passion for treating pediatric patients and adolescent athletes. To gain extensive experience and expertise, Dr. Anderson went on to complete a competitive fellowship program at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. During his fellowship, Dr. Anderson received comprehensive training in young adult hip surgery, pediatric orthopedics, and scoliosis surgery.
Dr. Anderson is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He also maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.
Throughout his career, Dr. Anderson has held several prestigious positions and is a known leader in the field of orthopedic medicine. He previously served at the Naval Hospital Guam and at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, as a proud member of the US Navy. Dr. Anderson was also an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston prior to entering private practice.
Dr. Anderson specializes in hip arthroscopy, as well as open surgical treatments for hip pain. He has had extensive research published in orthopedic journals and has presented his findings at multiple national meetings. Dr. Anderson is also known for his expertise in treating athletes who are still growing and have open growth plates.
Outside of the office, Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, in their neighborhood of Missouri City, Texas. They have two sons, Kai and Blake, and stay active by exploring the Houston area, attending college football games, and participating in church activities.

Kevin M. Smith, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert bringing his fellowship training experience to The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Smith focuses on personalized patient procedures, including shoulder, hip, and knee joint replacements, sprains, and fractures. His specialty is in minimally invasive and highly effective arthroscopic joint procedures.
Dr. Smith was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where he was an all-state basketball player at Humble High School, MVP of the district, and graduated summa cum laude. He attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, for his undergraduate degree, also playing basketball, and earning a perfect GPA in chemical engineering. He received academic all-conference honors for being an athlete who showcased hard work in school.
After receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Dr. Smith completed his residency at Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas Medical Center in Houston. There, he kicked off his sports medicine training while working with team physicians for the Houston Texans and Houston Astros.
Dr. Smith also attended Rice University’s Jones School of Business in Houston, Texas, to study business principles in health care in the groundbreaking health care management program. He went on to Stanford University in Stanford, California, for its renowned sports medicine and shoulder-elbow fellowship.
Following his time as the assistant team physician for the Stanford Cardinal football program, Dr. Smith continued to refine his skills while working with the team physicians from the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and Golden State Warriors.
Dr. Smith’s research has been presented and published numerous times, all furthering the fields of stem cell research, joint replacements, hip arthroscopic procedures, and progressive surgery.

Dr. Chimenti was born in Houston, Texas. He graduated magna cum laude from Clear Lake High School in Houston and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin with high honors. Dr. Chimenti completed his Doctor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and finished his residency at the University of Colorado in Denver.
He completed orthopedic and sports medicine training with team physicians from the Denver Broncos, University of Colorado Buffaloes, and the Colorado Rockies. Dr. Chimenti has also served as the team physician at numerous high schools for almost three decades.

Born in York, Pennsylvania, Dr. Strausser received his undergraduate degree from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude. He went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine, graduating with high honors, at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he also finished his residency in orthopedic surgery.

Meena Shatby, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician at The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Shatby has extensive training in sports medicine and trauma. He’s fellowship-trained in managing lower extremities with a focus on knee, ankle, foot, and other sports injuries.
Dr. Shatby attended Clear Lake High School in Houston, Texas. He graduated at the top of his class summa cum laude with undergraduate degrees in electrical and biomedical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and earned a place as an engineering scholar.
After nurturing a passion for medicine, Dr. Shatby earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
