Peter Lyu, DDS, is a member of the skilled dental team at Los Gatos Dental Specialists in Los Gatos, California. Dr. Lyu is a proud graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Loma Linda, California.
He embarked on a six-year residency at Chandler Hospital at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. During this residency, Dr. Lyu focused on craniofacial surgery and trauma, as well as oral reconstruction with bone regeneration and dental implants.
While in Kentucky, Dr. Lyu also completed the requirements for the College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky and received his medical degree.
Dr. Lyu loves being back in the Bay Area, and he calls San Francisco his home. In addition to providing expert care at Los Gatos Dental Specialists, he works with future dentists at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry as a part-time assistant clinical professor.

Dr. Rayher attended college at the University of California at San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in bio-engineering while being elected to the prestigious engineering honor society, Tau Beta Pi.
After moving back to the Bay Area, Dr. Rayher earned both his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees from the University of California at San Francisco. While a student, he was active in student government and was elected to serve as the Student Body President of UCSF. Upon graduation, Dr. Rayher was inducted into the Alpha Omega International Honor Society, which is an honor reserved only for dental graduates who rank number one in their class.
After obtaining his degrees at UCSF, Dr. Rayher continued his training at the UCSF Medical Center, the San Francisco General Hospital, and the San Francisco VA Hospital, where he learned firsthand from some of the most renowned doctors in the country. He earned a specialty certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery, which included formal training in general surgery, microneurosurgery, and anesthesia. Dr. Rayher is licensed to practice both dentistry and medicine. He also holds California state Specialty Permits in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and General Anesthesia. Dr. Rayher has been faculty member at both the VA Hospital in Palo Alto and at UCSF Dental School.
Currently, Dr. Rayher maintains a solo private practice at Union Square Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in downtown San Francisco. With his expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery, medicine, and anesthesia, Dr. Rayher has a special interest in helping patients with dental phobias or anxiety; patients who require the removal of impacted, diseased, painful, or infected teeth; patients requiring jaw reconstruction with bone grafting; and patients who need to have their natural teeth replaced with dental implants.
Dr. Kian Farzaneh DDS is an accomplished oral surgeon, wisdom teeth specialist, and dental implant specialist in Danville, California.
At his practice, Dr. Farzaneh cares for patients using the latest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery. These include Nobel Guide, which is a CT-guided implant planning and placement technology, and "Teeth in an Hour," a service that helps people who need immediate dental implants. He is one of the few surgeons trained in placement of the Zygomatic Implants, a procedure that eliminates the need for bone grafts in severely resorbed jaws.
Dr. Farzaneh graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1999. He completed a one-year internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Highland General Hospital/University of the Pacific. He then completed a four-year oral and maxillofacial residency program at the same hospital.
Dr. Farzaneh has received multiple certificates in the area of dental implants, including certificates from Nobel Biocare, one of the world’s leading authorities on dental implants. He is also currently on staff at John Muir Medical Center, a major trauma center in the Bay Area.
He is a member of numerous associations, including the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Contra Costa Dental Society, Academy of Osseointegration, and Sadi Fontaine Academy.
Dr. Farzaneh continues to keep updated with the newest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery. His goal is to make oral surgery simple for patients and to perform procedures with the highest level of predictability. To give back, he lectures and offers continuing education to his colleagues in the state of California.
