Dr. Fitzgerald has been in the eye care profession for over 30 years. A graduate of the College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, she got into the profession because of her passion for helping people. "The eyes are the windows to the body," she says. "So many things can be seen and diagnosed with a thorough eye exam."
The doctor has been providing eye care to the Corridor community since she moved to Cedar Rapids in 1984. When asked about her future goals, Dr. Fitzgerald replies that they are, "To continue to grow and contribute through my passion for my career." She currently offers patients examinations, diagnoses and treatments for the management of vision diseases and disorders. Dr. Fitzgerald is always investigating and investing in the latest eye care technology to provide the best state-of-the-art patient care possible.
Dr. Eyad H. Yehyawi grew up in southeast Iowa and has been practicing optometry since 2004. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Quincy University in 1999, where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry. He earned his doctorate from The University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 2004 and then completed a residency in ocular disease at the St. Louis Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Yehyawi also completed clinical training programs in St. Louis, Kansas City, Orlando, and Denver.
Outside of work, Dr. Yehyawi enjoys sports, movies and outdoor activities with his wife and children.
Dr. Ayra Sayyed is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, MA. Dr. Sayyed has completed RJ Apell and C. Nelson Residency in Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation (2020) at the Padula Institute of Vision in Guilford, CT. During the residency, she presented cases and research projects at various Brain Injury Rehabilitation conferences, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association conference, and International Lyme and Associated Disease conference. Dr. Sayyed has lectured about Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation at various local organizations.
Dr. Sayyed has completed her Fellowship of American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) in 2021. Currently, she is a candidate for Fellowship of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (FNORA).
Dr. Sayyed acts as a Research Coordinator for Padula Rehabilitation Technologies, she has assisted in researching and creating new Optometric Rehabilitative Technologies. She has been a research coordinator for VeyeZERTM, PAVE TM and NeurOpTrek TM. Dr. Sayyed is also working as a Medical Consultant to SphereGen Technologies in New Haven, CT to develop Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality Diagnostic and Rehabilitative devices.
Dr. Sayyed served as a secretary in the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, organized a medical trip to Nicaragua and many volunteer events within the United States. Dr. Sayyed is an active member of American Academy of Optometry and Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, American Optometric Association, Connecticut Association of Optometrists, and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH).
