Soha Rafi O.D. was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). While at ICO, she traveled with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity on a medical mission trip to Oaxaca, Mexico to help serve different villages within Oaxaca with eye care.
Dr. Rafi has a strong passion for optometry and providing comprehensive eye care. This led her to pursue a postdoctoral residency in Primary Eye Care with an emphasis on anterior segment disease and specialty contact lenses at Henry Ford OptimEyes in West Bloomfield, MI. She has a particular interest in keratoconus and has found a drive and passion for fitting scleral and rigid permeable contact lenses.
Dr. Rafi is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. In her spare time, Dr. Rafi likes to spend her with her family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and traveling.
Hena A. Khaja, MD, is a Houston native and board-certified ophthalmologist who treats patients at Texas Eye Doctors in McKinney, Texas. She specializes in ophthalmic disease, ocular surgery, lens implantation, and retinopathy.
Dr. Khaja graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas where she majored in human biology with a focus on pathogenesis and immunities and minored in business. After graduating, she completed a transitional year program at the University of Texas in Houston, where she worked in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings to gain experience in general medicine, pediatrics, and surgery.
Dr. Khaja earned her medical degree from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota. She graduated with honors in surgery and ophthalmology. She also presented clinical research on the incidence and clinical characteristics of epiretinal membranes in children, in addition to research on Trabectome ablation arc.
She went on to complete an ophthalmology residency at the University of Cincinnati, where she served as chief resident and presented on cancer-associated retinopathy, lupus retinopathy, and retinal phlebitis at the university’s grand rounds forum.
Dr. Khaja holds certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the Cincinnati Society of Ophthalmology. In her work at Texas Eye Doctors, she provides patients with state-of-the-art treatments that utilize her extensive skills in ophthalmic disease and ocular surgery.
She’s also conducted groundbreaking research on acute maculopathy and dangling lens phacoemulsification, a new technique for phacoemulsification and lens implantation. She's also performed extensive performance analyses of various vitreoretinal instruments.
Dr. Khaja speaks English, Hindu, Urdu, and Spanish, and looks forward to working with new and existing patients to provide the best ophthalmologic care in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Dr. Arun Joseph is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Harvard fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist. His primary clinical interest is in glaucoma, and he is specialized in its prevention, diagnosis, and medical and surgical management.
To further advance his training, Dr. Joseph accepted a surgical glaucoma fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Massachusetts General Hospital. He was trained in the full array of interventional glaucoma, including both office-based and surgical laser treatments, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and traditional major glaucoma surgery (tube shunt implantation and trabeculectomy). During his fellowship, he was also mentored by renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Mark Latina, a pioneer in medical lasers and the inventor of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT). SLT has become one of the most effective treatments for glaucoma, and Dr. Joseph is one of the few specialists in the country to train directly under Dr. Latina.
After completing his fellowship, Dr. Joseph returned home and founded Dallas Glaucoma Specialists in 2018 with the goal of providing premier glaucoma care in his hometown community. In 2019, he became the first surgeon to implant the revolutionary XEN glaucoma stent in Collin County. He believes in a customized approach and having an open discussion with each patient about their glaucoma and, if necessary, appropriate treatment options. His priority is to offer every patient the highest standard of care in a friendly, respectful, and personalized way.

Charles Shidlofsky, OD, is a neuro-developmental optometrist at Neuro-Vision Associates of North Texas, a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance. The practice is located in Plano, Texas.
Dr. Shidlofsky, known affectionately as Dr. S, is a highly respected optometrist based in the Dallas area. Born and raised in Lawrence, New York, he relocated to Texas at the age of 16. He completed his pre-optometry studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 1984, followed by his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1986 and 1988, respectively.
With a passion for neuro-developmental optometry, Dr. Shidlofsky has dedicated his career to creating and implementing innovative therapies for children facing vision-related challenges, including those with ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and sensory processing disorders. An accomplished educator, Dr. Shidlofsky is an Adjunct Professor of Optometry at several institutions, including Southern College of Optometry and the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Lori Dao, a native Texan, is a highly skilled pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders in children as well as eye muscle disorders and double vision in all ages.
