Dr. Anand Bhatt is a leading expert in Orange County in the fields of cataract and glaucoma surgery. Prior to his decision to enter private practice, Dr. Bhatt was full-time ophthalmology faculty at the UC Irvine Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and the Veteran’s Hospital in Long Beach, CA. While at UC Irvine, Dr. Bhatt was involved in the cataract and glaucoma surgery training of more than 30 fellow ophthalmologists, including 7 other glaucoma specialists, many of whom practice locally and was recognized by his trainees for his excellence in surgical education with a teaching award.

Dr Jessica Shoumer is a glaucoma-certified therapeutic optometrist.    She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with Cum Laude honors with a degree in Psychobiology. She then attended the Southern California College of Optometry where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr Shoumer has over 15 years of experience in the diagnosis and management of eye diseases, dry eyes, LASIK consultations and contact lenses. She was born and raised in Southern California. She speaks English, Farsi, and Optometric Spanish.  

On her time off, Dr Shoumer enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and three boys.  

Dr. Parisa Jalalat is a board-certified optometrist in Los Angeles, CA. She takes an integrative approach to eye care, focused on the individual needs of each patient. Dr. Claudia Younany was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her clinical training was emphasized in specialty contact lenses and management of ocular diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma and dry eye syndrome. Her work experiences include caring for patients at the Veteran’s Hospital in Los Angeles and the Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii. In addition, Dr. Cooper worked at the Center for the Partially Sighted, performing low vision examinations to the visually impaired. Her care has also extended to numerous school districts to perform vision screenings, as well as seeing patients at the JWCH clinic located on Skid Row in Los Angeles. Narbae Avedian, O.D. of VeyeP is a native Californian who cares deeply about the eye health of Los Angeles’ Studio City community. Dr. Avedian has been interested in the medical field since college at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology with honors in 2007.

Dr. Avedian completed his doctoral training in optometry at the Western University of Health Sciences in southern California, where he placed in the top 10% of his class. For four straight years, he earned Beta Sigma Kappa honors and dean’s list recognition.
