Kathy Hotsenpiller, OD, brings a unique blend of scientific knowledge and compassionate care to her optometry practice. She currently works at Vision in Motion a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance, in Iowa.
A 1995 graduate of Kenyon College in Gambler, Ohio, Dr. Hotsenpiller initially majored in biology and spent four years conducting cancer research and coordinating oncology clinical trials. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue a career in optometry, culminating in her graduation from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 2003.
Dr. Hotsenpiller excels in primary eye care and has a special interest in fitting patients with keratoconus and corneal scarring with specialty contact lenses. "The most rewarding thing about fitting patients with scleral lenses is seeing the smile on their faces after they realize how much better they can see!" she shares, highlighting her dedication to improving her patient's quality of life.
Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Hotsenpiller enjoys yoga, knitting, and hiking with her family, reflecting her commitment to a balanced and fulfilling life. With her extensive background and passion for patient care, Dr. Hotsenpiller is devoted to providing exceptional eye care tailored to each individual's needs.
Eyad H. Yehyawi, OD, has been a dedicated optometrist since 2004, bringing over 20 years of experience to his practice. He works at Vision in Motion a part of the DeyeNAMICS Alliance, in Iowa.
Growing up in southeast Iowa, he earned his Bachelor of Science from Quincy University in Illinois in 1999, where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, followed by a residency in ocular disease at the St. Louis Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Missouri.
Dr. Yehyawi has also completed extensive clinical training in cities including St. Louis, Kansas City, Orlando, and Denver, enhancing his expertise in various areas of eye care. His diverse training equips him to provide comprehensive assessments and treatments for a wide range of ocular conditions.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Yehyawi enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children, engaging in sports, watching movies, and participating in outdoor activities. His passion for family and community reflects his holistic approach to patient care.
