Ansuya Deosaran, M.D. is a fellowship-trained, Board-Certified ophthalmologist with experience in Premium Laser and Refractive Cataract Surgery, Dry Eye Disease, and medical and surgical Corneal Diseases. She also practices comprehensive ophthalmology and manages glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration. Dr. Deosaran completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Florida and earned her medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She completed a medical internship at the University of Florida Shands Hospital - Jacksonville followed by a residency training in Ophthalmology at Louisiana State University - Health Science Center in New Orleans. Dr. Deosaran completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital. As a fellow, she trained residents in cataract surgery at the John Cochran Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Dr. Deosaran holds membership with several ophthalmologic associations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Women in Ophthalmology, and the Broward County Ophthalmologic Society. She has multiple publications and has presented research at local and national meetings.
Dr. Deosaran is a South Florida native and grew up in Coral Springs, FL. As a teen, Dr. Deosaran had a corneal infection which inspired her to become a Cornea specialist and help patients regain their vision. By entering the field of ophthalmology as a patient, Dr. Deosaran understands the importance of effectively communicating with her patients and prides herself in providing compassionate care to all. Dr. Deosaran loves being back in South Florida for the warm weather, delicious food, and the wonderful community of people here.
Helayna Brown, M.D., is a fellowship-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in medical and surgical management of cataracts, glaucoma, anterior segment, and corneal conditions as well as refractive surgery. Dr. Brown is renowned for her patience, ability to communicate and her caring demeanor when treating patients.
Dr. Brown is originally from Long Island, New York. She completed her undergraduate education and medical degree in a seven-year combined program at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduation, she completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Pennsylvania Hospital and residency training at Temple University, both in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was elected chief resident by her attendings and peers during her time at Temple University.
After Dr. Brown’s residency, she completed an additional year of fellowship training at Corneal Associates of New Jersey in Fairfield, New Jersey, where she gained valuable experience in advanced refractive cataract surgery, keratorefractive surgery, and corneal procedures and surgeries.
Dr. Brown holds memberships with various ophthalmological associations. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology and the Palm Beach County Ophthalmology Society. Previously, she was a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology and an advocacy ambassador, promoting patient safety issues at a legislative level.
Dr. Brown enjoys teaching the next generation of ophthalmologists. Dr. Brown volunteers her time lecturing and teaching residents at the Larkin Community Hospital in Miami. She has also volunteered performing corneal transplants for patients in the Philippines who would have otherwise been left blind. She has published her own research and presented at both local and national conferences on topics including LASIK, glaucoma and optic neuritis.
Michael L. Levine, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a well-regarded board-certified ophthalmologist who has been caring for people in the Boynton Beach area of Florida since 1999. As a gifted eye surgeon, Dr. Levine draws upon his vast clinical experience along with his dedication to cutting-edge technologies and advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Levine educates each of his patients about their condition and creates a collaborative, customized management plan for every patient he sees. He has performed tens of thousands of surgical procedures and is an innovator in microincisional cataract and laser surgery.
Dr. Levine began his distinguished career by graduating from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. He earned his medical degree at Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, graduating in 1994 in the top 2% of his class. Dr. Levine went on to complete his surgical internship at the University of Chicago and Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital. He then completed his ophthalmology residency and a glaucoma fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital in New York City.
Having trained at the finest institutions, Dr. Levine excels in his field. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and a textbook chapter on glaucoma. In 2003, he was named Outstanding Ophthalmologist of the Year for Florida and Ophthalmologist of the Year for Palm Beach County. Dr. Levine has also been voted “America’s Top Ophthalmologists from 2002 to the present.
Dr. Levine is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society. He’s a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
When he’s not devoting himself to his patients, Dr. Levine enjoys spending time with his wife and their two adult children and volunteering for ophthalmology missions overseas. An avid car enthusiast; Dr. Levine also enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and playing tennis.
