Sara Sillik-Hale, OD is an Arizona native- born and raised in Tucson. She attended the University of Arizona where she completed her Bachelor’s in Physiology and Medical Sciences. She went on to continue her education at Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. She has clinical experience through internships in primary care, ocular disease, myopia management, specialty contact lenses, and pediatrics.
Dr. Sillik-Hale is extremely passionate about pediatric eye care since it is how she discovered she wanted to become an optometrist. Her main goal is providing the same positive, joyful, and caring experience she had at her own first eye exam. Her goal is to welcome each patient, parent and guardian as a member of the ABC family. She strives to provide each patient with the highest quality care.
During her time in optometry school, Dr. Sillik-Hale found a great source of joy in participating in The Neighborhood Christian Clinic where she assisted in providing eye exams for populations without insurance and poor access to healthcare.
Dr. Sillik-Hale has an extensive research background at the University of Arizona where she has been a coauthor on seven publications in disease pathology such as macular degeneration and glaucoma. She was awarded a position as an Undergraduate Biology Research Program Scholar and was granted the Western Alliance to Expand Student Opportunities Research Grant two years in a row.
