Dr. Morton grew up in San Diego and completed his undergraduate studies at Revelle College University of California San Diego. Before pursuing a career in medicine, he fulfilled his dream of flying carrier-based fighter jets and served as a Navy pilot for five years. Dr. Morton then went on to complete medical school and received his MD from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine in Bethesda, MD. While in medical school, he received various awards and recognitions, including the Surgeon General Award for academic excellence, medical professionalism, and leadership skills as well as selection to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, where he was elected as president.

Dr. Morton interned at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, where he also completed his residency in Ophthalmology. While completing his medical internship, he was chosen Intern of the Year. After completing his residency, Dr. Morton was assigned to the Naval Hospital Roosevelt Roads, in Puerto Rico, where he directed the Ophthalmology Department. Following this tour of duty, he was selected for the highly competitive University of Michigan program, where he spent two years studying and operating with innovators in the field of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the eyelids, forehead, face, orbits, and lacrimal system.

Dr. Morton is honored to have served as the Director of Oculoplastics and Orbital Reconstruction at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, known then as the “President’s Hospital”, and then in the same position at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. For most of his military medical career, Dr. Morton was involved in complicated war-related facial injuries. These challenging cases created the foundation and skill set for the services he provides today. Community members and patients alike admire his 24 years of service in the Navy. He retired in 2003 and has been in private practice with Eye Care of San Diego since.

Beginning in 1988, he has participated in various humanitarian surgical missions and education programs all over the world. He currently delivers pro bono care with Helps International and Fresh Start Surgical Gifts. Dr. Morton is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Anand Bhatt is a leading expert in Orange County in the fields of cataract and glaucoma surgery. Prior to his decision to enter private practice, Dr. Bhatt was full-time ophthalmology faculty at the UC Irvine Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and the Veteran’s Hospital in Long Beach, CA. While at UC Irvine, Dr. Bhatt was involved in the cataract and glaucoma surgery training of more than 30 fellow ophthalmologists, including 7 other glaucoma specialists, many of whom practice locally and was recognized by his trainees for his excellence in surgical education with a teaching award.

During his career, Dr. Bhatt has been awarded by Southern California Super Doctors and has been selected as one of the Orange County Physicians of Excellence by Orange Coast Magazine for 4 consecutive years. Dr. Bhatt has also published many peer-reviewed scientific papers in the field of cataract and glaucoma surgery and served as a member of the American Glaucoma Society’s Patient Care Committee.

Dr. Bhatt graduated as valedictorian of his International Baccalaureate High School in Palm Harbor, FL, and was then admitted into a direct 6-year BS/MD program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. During his time in medical school, he discovered his passion to save and restore vision, so he pursued a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. While in residency he was amongst the first surgeons in the U.S. to use astigmatic and multifocal lenses for vision correction with cataract surgery.

Dr. Bhatt subsequently completed a fellowship in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma at UC Irvine. After his fellowship training, he was recruited to remain on faculty at UC Irvine where he helped to preserve and restore vision in some of the most difficult surgical cataract and glaucoma cases and gained extensive experience in all varieties of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.

Dr. Lin is a board-certified ophthalmologist, located in Fountain Valley, California, with advanced training in corneal disorders and LASIK surgery. Her clinical interests include corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, and management of LASIK complication. A member of the prestigious Corneal Society, Dr. Lin is one of a few corneal surgeons who performs small incision, disease-specific corneal transplants in the United States. In addition to LASIK eye surgery, Dr. Lin is skilled in ICL (implantable contact lens) procedures. Dr. Lin received her medical degree with honors from Northwestern University. She completed her internship at MacNeal Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Chicago. She furthered her training with a fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at the University of Colorado. Dr. Lin then joined the faculty at the University of Colorado, instructing and proctoring resident physicians. As a member of the renowned Corneal Society, Dr. Lin is passionate about bringing the newest corneal transplant techniques into the private practice setting. Dr. Lee then went on to receive additional training at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA where he completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery.  

Paul Lang, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery. Dr. Lang attended Cornell University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He then returned to California to attend the Keck School of Medicine of USC, graduating with distinction in research. He stayed to complete his ophthalmology residency training at the USC Roski Eye Institute and LA General Medical Center. Dr. Lang then completed a fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at the world renowned Shiley Eye Institute at UC San Diego.
