She’s a published author with many articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and has lectured at national ophthalmology conferences. Dr. Mendelsohn received the Louis and Rachel Rudin Foundation grant, and the David Warfield Fellowship grant in recognition of her outstanding contributions in the field of ophthalmology.
In her free time, Dr. Mendelsohn believes in giving back to community groups. She regularly coordinates presentations for seniors groups and low-vision groups, and has also presented at Girl Scouts career night.

Alyson Yashar, MD graduated from Brown University and NYU School of Medicine, where she was president of her class. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital. She performed her eye surgery training at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Dr. Yashar completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology, also at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, and simultaneously received additional training in oculoplastics. She is presently an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at NYU School of Medicine and teaches at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Neuro-ophthalmology has a diagnostic and medical focus, concentrating on diseases like Multiple Sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, double vision, decreased vision, brain tumors, and unexplained visual loss. Many patients are co-managed by their neurologist, rheumatologist, or internist.

Dr. Jalaj has advanced training in the latest methods for diagnosing and treating corneal and refractive issues including corneal collagen cross-linking for keratoconus and laser vision correction (LASIK/PRK) for myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. He is a specialist in the most advanced corneal transplantation techniques including minimally invasive techniques such as DMEK, DSAEK, DALK, and PKP to provide the highest quality vision while also preserving as much natural healthy cornea as possible. Dr. Decker is an honor society graduate of Cornell University in New York City. He attended medical school at Upstate Medical University at Syracuse before completing his internship at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Decker served his residency at Summa Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, where he was selected to be Chief Resident senior year. As a Board Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, Dr. Decker cares for most eye disorders in patients of all ages.

Ashwinee Ragam, MD is an ophthalmic surgeon who is very well regarded by her fellow ophthalmologists. Prior to joining InVision EyeCare in Lakewood, New Jersey, Dr. Ragam was a member of the internationally renowned ophthalmology group practice, OCLI, in Long Island, New York.
Dr. Ragam graduated summa cum laude from The College of New Jersey. She was accepted to the competitive, accelerated, seven-year BS/MD program at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where she finished at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Ragam is board-certified and a corneal fellowship-trained ophthalmologist. She completed an ophthalmology residency at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in Manhattan. She was selected by her peers and mentors to become Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Ragam trained other ophthalmologists in advanced surgical techniques.
She completed a very sought-out fellowship in corneal surgery at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She performs corneal transplantation as well as pterygium excision. She is trained in newer techniques of partial-thickness corneal transplantation (DSAEK and DMEK), which allow for a rapid return of vision in a matter of weeks. Dr. Ragam is the first ophthalmologist in Ocean County to perform FDA-approved corneal collagen crosslinking for keratoconus.
Over her years in practice, Dr. Ragam has developed a strong interest in the causes of ocular surface diseases which includes dry eyes. She has a passion for helping patients suffering from this common, yet sometimes complex condition. She is the director of the Dry Eye Relief Center at InVision Eye Care. Jonathan Gloth, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retinal surgery specialist practicing at InVision EyeCare in Lakewood and Eatontown, New Jersey. He specializes in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, and uveitis.
Dr. Gloth graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He also received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence (awarded to students with a 4.0 grade-point average). He then graduated from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was inducted into the national medical honors society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his residency in ophthalmology and finished rigorous fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis at Albany Medical College in New York. During his time in Albany, he was appointed a clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology.
Dr. Gloth was board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2011. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Gloth’s work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented numerous times at national meetings.
His areas of surgical expertise include retinal detachment repair, diabetic hemorrhage evacuation, macular hole repair, and macular pucker peeling. Dr. Gloth also treats complications of cataract extraction, such as removal of retained lens fragments and intraocular lens repositioning.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Gloth is an avid sports fan. He enjoys running, coaching and playing baseball, and spending time with his three children.
Dr. Marc von Roemer, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, who earned his medical degree at New Jersey Medical School. After graduating medical school with honors and at the top of his class, Dr. von Roemer completed his residency training at Stony Brook University in New York, where he was selected as Chief Resident. He has been with InVision Eyecare since 2000.
Dr. von Roemer is well recognized for his outstanding medical skills. His areas of special expertise include: the treatment of macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and dry eye. He is also trained in performing laser eye surgery to improve vitreous floaters. Dr. von Roemer is certified to perform laser vision correction and also offers BOTOX® and Juvederm® for facial rejuvenation.
Dr Marc von Roemer is the Director of the Laser Vision Center at InVision. Dr von Roemer is extremely well respected by his patients who consistently applaud his excellent surgical skill, outcomes and focused personal care. Dr. Hedaya served as Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmic Surgery at the New York University Medical Center. He also was a certified supervisor for the LADARVision excimer laser. He specializes in non-incision laser vision correction, called PRK, on the leading-edge German engineered Allegretto Wave Eye-Q laser system. Dr. Hedaya enjoys teaching the nuance of laser vision correction as well as the LenSx cataract laser to other surgeons.
It is his nature to be intellectually inquisitive, and he is well regarded in the ophthalmic industry. He participates in many web seminars and meetings around the world. His most recent publication focused on how to optimize surgical results.
With over 30 years of growing surgical experience, Dr. Hedaya has developed a strong track record of excellent results with extremely low complication rates.
