Ashwinee Ragam, MD is an ophthalmic surgeon who is very well regarded by her fellow ophthalmologists. Prior to joining InVision EyeCare in Lakewood, New Jersey, Dr. Ragam was a member of the internationally renowned ophthalmology group practice, OCLI, in Long Island, New York.
Dr. Ragam graduated summa cum laude from The College of New Jersey. She was accepted to the competitive, accelerated, seven-year BS/MD program at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where she finished at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Ragam is board-certified and a corneal fellowship-trained ophthalmologist. She completed an ophthalmology residency at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in Manhattan. She was selected by her peers and mentors to become Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Ragam trained other ophthalmologists in advanced surgical techniques.
She completed a very sought-out fellowship in corneal surgery at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She performs corneal transplantation as well as pterygium excision. She is trained in newer techniques of partial-thickness corneal transplantation (DSAEK and DMEK), which allow for a rapid return of vision in a matter of weeks. Jonathan Gloth, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retinal surgery specialist practicing at InVision EyeCare in Lakewood and Eatontown, New Jersey. He specializes in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, and uveitis.
Dr. Gloth graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He also received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence (awarded to students with a 4.0 grade-point average). He then graduated from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was inducted into the national medical honors society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Marc von Roemer, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, who earned his medical degree at New Jersey Medical School. After graduating medical school with honors and at the top of his class, Dr. von Roemer completed his residency training at Stony Brook University in New York, where he was selected as Chief Resident. Dr. von Roemer is well recognized for his outstanding medical skills. His areas of special expertise include: the treatment of macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and dry eye. He is also trained in performing laser eye surgery to improve vitreous floaters. Dr Marc von Roemer is the Director of the Laser Vision Center at InVision. He specializes in non-incision laser vision correction, called PRK, on the leading-edge German engineered Allegretto Wave Eye-Q laser system. Dr. Hedaya enjoys teaching the nuance of laser vision correction as well as the LenSx cataract laser to other surgeons.
