Our Physician Assistant, Michelle, has over 10 years of experience working in fields such as emergency medicine and intensive care until she specialized and excelled in obstetrics and gynecology oncology. She has worked in hospitals such as Coney Island Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, and New York University Medical Center. Michelle is a phenomenal addition to this exceptional staff.
Alecia Giovinazzo is a board certified doctor in obstetrics and gynecology. She did her residency in ob/gyn at Richmond University Medical Center hospital and started her own practice in 2005. She has professional experience in general ob/gyn, advanced laparoscopy, and high risk pregnancy. Dr. Giovinazzo has received awards for her efforts in clinical teaching and for her expertise in laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Guirguis started this practice in Park Slope Brooklyn in 1987. Dr. Guirguis graduated from Cairo medical school and went on to specialize in general surgery as well as extensive training in plastic and cosmetic surgery. He then found his passion in women’s health care and went on to complete his residency in OBGYN at Brooklyn Hospital.
Dr. Meleka is a New York native and her patients continue to honor her with several recognition and patient choice awards. Despite these many accolades she remains humble and kind. She has been consistently nominated by her peers for various educational symposiums to educate and mentor both young and the elderly on women's health and wellness topics. She has been a wonderful addition to the Guirguis OB/GYN Group experience given her empathy and her dedication to educating her patients on their overall gynecological wellness.
