Dr. Ahmad earned his medical degree in 1998 and completed his residency training at HMC in Flint, MI. Dr. Ahmad is triple Board Certified in Obgyn, Minimal invasive gynecology & pediatric & adolescent Gynecology. He is a clinical professor of OB/GYN for MSU College of Human Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biotechnology at University of Windsor where she also received her Master of Business Administration which she completed in Rouen, France. She worked in hospital administration in Toronto before pursuing her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
During her medical school, she was recognized for her service to the community and received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award for her compassion in delivery of care, respect for patients and their families. She completed her residency at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and was active in the Michigan Section of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In 2014, Laura completed the Nurse-Midwife Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago with her master's degree. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
