Jeffrey Marcus, MS, MD, joined North Atlanta Women's Specialists when it was formed in 1994. He is proud to provide a variety of obstetrics and gynecologic services to patients at the East Cobb office in Marietta and the Johns Creek office in Duluth, Georgia. His special interests include management of high-risk pregnancies, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, contraception, and menopause care.
Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Dr. Marcus received his Bachelor of Science in physics from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He went on to earn a master's degree in biomedical engineering from The George Washington University (GW) in Washington, DC. He remained at GW for medical school and residency. After finishing his training, in which he was a chief resident and elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, he moved to Atlanta to begin working in private practice.
Dr. Marcus is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Society for Family Planning. In addition, he is on the executive committee of the Atlanta Women’s Health Group and previously served as Chairman of Perinatal Services at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Marcus is the Chief Medical Officer of Femasys Inc., a start-up biotech company that designs and develops minimally invasive in-office devices for women's health. He is also on the advisory boards of The Rally Foundation and Camp Sea Gull/Seafarer. Dr. Marcus has been married for 31 years to his wife, Laura, and they have three children.
At North Atlanta Women's Specialists, OB/GYN Sara Morris, MD, finds it a privilege to form relationships and take care of women at different phases of life. She is dedicated to providing patients with the best treatments at the East Cobb office in Marietta, the Midtown office and the Johns Creek office in Duluth, Georgia.
Dr. Morris was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and received her Bachelor of Arts in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from the University of Colorado Boulder. She graduated from The Sackler School of Medicine New York State/American Program of Tel Aviv University and did her residency training at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai St. Luke’s in New York City. She was an administrative chief resident and received awards for teaching and pelvic surgery. After her residency, she remained in New York as faculty at Mount Sinai Hospital. In addition, she worked at St John’s Riverside Hospital in association with Hudson River Healthcare.
Dr. Morris moved to Atlanta and joined North Atlanta Women’s Specialists in 2018. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Some of her interests include, but are not limited to, both low and high-risk obstetrics, infertility, adolescent gynecology, contraceptive management, and minimally invasive gynecological surgery. With two children conceived with IVF, she has a deep interest in infertility and helping others through their fertility journey and beyond.
Dr. Morris is married and has three children- two of whom were delivered at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, spinning, traveling, and photography.

Indu Stacey Anand, MD, is an experienced OB/GYN at North Atlanta Women's Specialists. She proudly provides care to patients at the East Cobb office in Marietta, as well as the Midtown and Northside offices in Atlanta.
Dr. Anand grew up in Clemson, South Carolina, and received her undergraduate degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina in 1990. She went on to attend Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she received her medical doctorate in 1994. She then completed her residency in general obstetrics and gynecology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1998.
After holding a faculty position at the University of Tennessee-Memphis, Dr. Anand joined North Atlanta Women's Specialists in 2004 where she has been practicing general OB/GYN. In 2020 she completed a fellowship at The Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and enjoys empowering her patients to optimize their health and wellbeing through evidence-based integrative approaches. She is additionally a member of the North American Menopause Society and takes a special interest in helping women transition through perimenopause and menopause.
When not working, Dr. Anand enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter.
Ngozi Monu, MD, PhD, is excited to be a part of North Atlanta Women’s Specialists and considers it a great privilege to provide excellent care and full spectrum obstetrics and gynecology to women in all stages of life. She values establishing long-term relationships with her patients and sees patients at the Johns Creek office in Duluth and Northside, Georgia, and the Midtown office in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Monu received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She went on to obtain a PhD degree from New York University (NYU) in the field of Cell Biology with research focused on Cellular Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cancer Institute, NYU School of Medicine.
Dr. Monu decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a physician and attended medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. She stayed on at New York Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medicine for her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training, where she was education chief resident and received awards for teaching and research.
Dr. Monu enjoys the broad range of obstetrics and gynecology, and some of her areas of interest include but are not limited to, minimally invasive gynecological surgery (including robotic surgery), both low- and high-risk obstetrics care, contraceptive management, adolescent gynecology, and patient education. She also continues to be interested in research that furthers the field in providing evidence-based obstetric and gynecological care to women.
Dr. Monu has been an avid athlete her entire life. She participated in two Olympic Games, representing Nigeria at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the sport of swimming. Dr. Monu is married with two children and continues to enjoy swimming, and loves spending time with her family, traveling, and photography.
After nearly 41 years in medicine—37 of those serving the Atlanta community—Dr. Arthur Gumer will be retiring at the end of June 2025. His last day in the office will be June 20, 2025. Dr. Gumer is deeply grateful for the trust and connection he has shared with his patients over the years. As he steps into retirement to spend more time with his family and enjoy new adventures, the experienced team at North Atlanta Women's Specialists will continue to provide exceptional care.
Arthur Gumer, MD, is an experienced OB/GYN at North Atlanta Women's Specialists. He provides a wide range of services at the Johns Creek office in Duluth and the Northside office in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Gumer was born and raised in New York. He received his Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, in 1976. He graduated from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC in 1984, and completed his residency training at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. As chief resident, he received the Thomas Boggs Award for Neonatal-Perinatal Research. Upon completion of his residency in 1988, he began practicing full-time in Atlanta and has been with the same group of physicians for almost 30 years.
Dr. Gumer enjoys providing care for both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies and values the long-term relationships he has made with his patients and their families. He is interested in all aspects of gynecologic care for women at various stages of their lives, from adolescent gynecology through the menopause years. Providing routine well-woman care, he is particularly interested in abnormalities of the cervix, contraceptive management, infertility, minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic hysterectomy, and management of menopause. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1990.
Dr. Gumer is married and has two adult children who live in Denver, and his daughter is also an OB/GYN. He enjoys playing the guitar and piano, photography, running, and is an avid reader. He is also one of only a few certified Mohels in the Atlanta community.

Oluwakemi Edokpayi, MD is the newest addition to The Healthy Woman organization.
Originally form New York City, she is a graduate of the University of Pittsburg in Pennsylvania with her bachelors in Bilogical Sciences and Africana Studies. Dr. Edokpayi earned her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. After graduating medical school, she completed her residency at Christina Care Health System in Newark, DE in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Edokpayi is an advocate of women’s health and loves being there for her patients at different stages of their lives. Whether it’s during puberty, the reproductive years or even menopause, she believes that the relationship a patient has with her OB/GYN is vital to her health and overall wellbeing. She offers prenatal care, family planning, and menopausal treatment. Dr. Edokpayi specializes in high-risk obstetric care, minimal invasive surgery, treatment for heavy menses / fibroids, and management.
In her spare time Dr. Edokpayi love to travel, work out on her Peloton volunteer in her community. Her and her family currently reside in Snellville, and they are loving Georgia living! Dr. Edokpayi is now accepting new patients at the Healthy Woman in Lawrenceville.

Joseph Pohl, MD, is a fellowship-trained pelvic surgeon at Women’s Healthcare Consultants of Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Dr. Pohl is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with over 30 years of experience addressing women’s health care needs. He takes the time to listen to each new and returning patient about their concerns before addressing them with a compassionate, holistic approach.
Dr. Pohl earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry and business from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. For his medical education, he stayed in Richmond to attend the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. After earning his medical degree, he moved to San Francisco, California, to complete his internship at Letterman Army Medical Center. Shortly after, he completed his residency at Madigan Army Regional Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, and his fellowship training in pelvic reconstructive surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Pohl completed 12 years of military service as a Lieutenant Colonel and Director of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery and Urogynecology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda National Naval Medical Center, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Washington, DC. He was also a staff physician at Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center in Germany.
Today, Dr. Pohl serves women of all ages in the Lawrenceville, Georgia area with a range of gynecological and wellness services. He frequently treats urinary incontinence, painful intercourse, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hormone loss, and other conditions with innovative nonsurgical treatments and gynecologic surgeries.
Dr. Pohl also prioritizes healthy lifestyles for all of his patients and has special interests in exercise, fitness, nutrition, and chronic disease prevention.
Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Lindsay Killingsworth, MD, specializes in the unique needs of women from their teen years and beyond. At Inspire Ob/Gyn, LLC in Johns Creek, Georgia, Dr. Killingsworth offers both diagnostic and treatment services for a variety of women’s health conditions, including endometriosis, fibroids, and heavy bleeding.
Dr. Killingsworth enjoys getting to know each of her patients and has a passion for adolescent gynecology. She provides contraceptive counseling services and pelvic exams, and is dedicated to ensuring the first gynecology visit for younger girls is comfortable and positive.
Also experienced in treating and supporting women during their transition to menopause, Dr. Killingsworth offers hormone therapy for menopause-related symptoms. She also offers pelvic floor therapy to address urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction.
After attending the University of Maryland in College Park for her undergraduate education, Dr. Killingsworth went on to earn her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She finished her residency in gynecology and obstetrics at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Killingsworth is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
When Dr. Killingsworth isn’t serving her patients, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, a plastic surgeon, and their three daughters, Evie, Lily, and Sophie.

Komal Agarwal, MD, is one of the skilled, board-certified OB/GYNs practicing at Inspire Ob/Gyn, LLC, located in Suwanee, Georgia.
Dr. Agarwal grew up in Delhi and completed her medical school training at Maulana Azad Medical College, one of the prestigious medical schools in India. Following her MBBS, she did post-graduate training in OB/GYN in India.
She moved to the U.S. and completed her residency in Michigan, where she was voted ‘Outstanding Resident Educator’ by the graduating class. She then served as chief resident during her final year. She was awarded the Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology by the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Following her residency, she practiced in Southern Indiana. She excelled in various roles as a physician, mentor, and administrator. She is a board-certified physician who has been providing compassionate and patient-centered care for 20 years now. She understands every patient is unique and believes in taking an empathic approach towards their concerns. She cherishes the patient-physician relationship that develops after the first meeting, which ensures trust and a good outcome.
She has a special interest in treating high-risk pregnancies, infertility, abnormal bleeding, PCOS, and menopause. She specializes in office-based procedures and minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Dr. Agarwal resides in the area with her husband, who is a nephrologist practicing out of Northside and Emory Hospital. They have two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, gardening, and traveling.
Rachel Yakrus, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN serving patients at Inspire Ob/Gyn, LLC, in Johns Creek of Suwanee, Georgia. A fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Yakrus provides a full scope of services for women of all ages. She is passionate about attending to their reproductive needs and gynecological concerns and has a particular interest in family planning, high-risk obstetrics, and gynecological surgery.
Her dedication to women’s health emerged during her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia, where she volunteered at the University Health Center with a focus on campaigns promoting sexual health. She also received a scholarship to fund a trip to Argentina, where she volunteered at a Military Hospital as well as rural pregnancy care centers. She graduated summa cum laude with Honors with a BA in Spanish and a BS in Microbiology.
She then attended the Medical College of Georgia, where she founded and co-chaired the Reproductive Health Interest Group. Dr. Yakrus completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of South Florida, where she received excellent clinical training at Tampa General Hospital. She also served as a Chief Administrative Resident in her final year.
After working in the Bay Area in California, she relocated back to her hometown of Alpharetta, Georgia, in 2021. Dr. Yakrus feels lucky and privileged to serve the diverse women of our community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Tim, and their orange tabby cat, Rocky, as well as her friends and family, in particular her adorable nephews. Her other hobbies include travel, cooking and playing the piano.
Kiana Nezafat, MD, is a dedicated and compassionate obstetrician and gynecologist at Inspire Ob/Gyn, LLC in Suwanee, Georgia. She specializes in comprehensive care for women at every stage of life.
With expertise in minimally invasive surgery, annual wellness exams, preventive medicine, birth control counseling, high-risk pregnancy, and infertility, Dr. Nezafat is committed to delivering up-to-date, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's needs. She values building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with her patients and creating a supportive environment for their health and well-being.
A proud Georgia native, Dr. Nezafat grew up in Acworth and earned her bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Georgia. She pursued her passion for women's health and surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, where she obtained her medical degree. She then completed a rigorous residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. Now, she is excited to return to her roots and serve the Forsyth community with the same excellence and care she's known for.
When she's not caring for her patients, Dr. Nezafat enjoys quality time with her family, exploring new travel destinations, and indulging her love for cooking and trying diverse cuisines. She looks forward to continuing to empower and support women.
Board-certified Ob/Gyn Gretchen Troxler, MD, is passionate about women’s healthcare and enjoys taking care of patients of all ages. She provides care to women throughout Johns Creek, Georgia, at Inspire Ob/Gyn, LLC.
In addition to providing well-woman care, Dr. Troxler treats a wide variety of gynecologic conditions, including menopausal symptoms, heavy or abnormal bleeding, and uterine fibroids. She also enjoys adolescent patients and builds long-lasting relationships as teens progress through young adulthood, focusing on abnormal or painful periods, contraception, and sexual health. She provides comprehensive obstetric care for both high and low-risk pregnancies.
Dr. Troxler is an Atlanta native who grew up in Gwinnett County and is a proud alumna of the Greater Atlanta Christian School. She completed her undergraduate education at Rice University in Houston, Texas. After college, she attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She then completed Ob/Gyn residency training in Phoenix, Arizona, where she cared for a large volume of medically complex patients.
A true southerner at heart, Dr. Troxler was excited to return to her family and friends in Atlanta in 2017 when she began practicing in the metro area. She is thrilled to join Inspire Ob/Gyn, LLC, in 2021 to serve the women of Johns Creek and the surrounding community. When she is not working, Dr. Troxler loves to travel, cook for family and friends, and play with Daisy, her energetic Labradoodle.
Dr. Kaylar Greer Howard studied Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, from where she graduated in 1992. She did an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mountain Area Health Education Center which is part of Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.
She also did anesthesia training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and the Knoxville Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She also completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.
She became a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999 and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the year 2000. More recently she has received a certification from the American Board of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine, which gives her patients the opportunity to access a wealth of information regarding, not only ways to improve their lives, but tools to extend their lives.
Donald Menya, D.O., is a compassionate and hardworking board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. He has been in practice since 2014 and sees patients at The Howard Center, with locations in Covington, Valdosta, Moultrie, Warner Robins, Leesburg, Douglas, Tifton, and Waycross, Georgia.
A native of Kenya, Dr. Menya first moved to the United States when he was 22 years old. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Minnesota in 2003. He attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences from 2003-2007 and then graduated in 2009 from the Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York, in 2013.
Dr. Menya administers care to women of all ages and backgrounds facing female reproductive and gynecologic issues. He aims to provide this specialized care with an evidence-based yet personalized approach, bridging the gap between each patient and their goals. Dr. Menya loves that he is able to witness firsthand a woman’s life positively impacted by helping them with issues such as infertility, pain, cancer, etc.

Charis Trench-Simmons, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN with ample medical experience and a true commitment to the field of women’s health care. At Prestige Healthcare OBGYN in Atlanta, Dr. Trench-Simmons works with her husband, Lorenza Simmons, MD, and skilled health professionals to serve women as they transition through all stages of life. Dr. Trench-Simmons offers an array of proven-successful aesthetic, gynecological, and obstetrical services.
After completing her undergraduate degree at the Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, Dr. Trench-Simmons obtained her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. She then continued her education with a residency in gynecology and obstetrics at Tulane University in New Orleans and the WellStar Atlanta Medical Center.
For three years, Dr. Trench-Simmons served as a lieutenant commander and general medical officer in the United States Navy. She’s a prominent member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
