Kimberly McGowan, MD, has been an OB/GYN at Women’s Health Specialists, PLLC, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, for 19 years as one of the founding partners. She practiced OB/GYN in Cincinnati for two years prior to relocating to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, in 1998 in order to escape the city and be near her husband’s large family, who has been a part of the community for more than 30 years. 

Together, she and Rich have raised four children. They love their church, friends, and spending time with family. She considers it a privilege to participate in the care of her patients through all stages of their lives.

Dr. Wear was born in Evensville, Tennessee, a rural town in East Tennessee. She grew up in Northwest Georgia. After high school graduation, she attended the University of Georgia, where she marched in the Georgia Redcoat Marching Band. 

Dr. Wear began her medical training at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. The mountains called her back, and she matched in the obstetrics and gynecology residency program at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville, Tennessee.

During residency, Dr. Wear served on the Patient Safety Committee and on the Lactation Counsel. Prior to graduation, she was presented with an award for Excellence in Patient Advocacy.

He graduated from Cairo University School of Medicine with distinction in 1995 and subsequently trained in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, before pursuing a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Rezk completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, followed by a Pelvic Reconstruction Research Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York. He obtained his Masters in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research from the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences in New York, New York.
