Dr. Kroeger grew up in Midland, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University, graduating summa cum laude in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology. Certified Nurse Practitioner-Midwife, Marie T. Murphy, received her early nursing and midwifery education in her birth country of Ireland and later in Scotland. She has practiced midwifery in various culturally diverse locales, such as Abu Dhabi, London, Perth, and Saudi Arabia. Her travels permitted her a unique perspective in understanding and developing respect for the cultural backgrounds of women around the globe.

During her time in Saudi Arabia, Marie was introduced to her future husband, Steve Larma of Fort Worth, which led to her traveling to America in 1991. Marie then set out to complete her RN and midwifery training in the Labor & Delivery departments of Mesa General Hospital (Phoenix, AZ), and later North Hills Hospital (North Richland Hills, TX). She was also granted US citizenship. In 1996, Marie was awarded her CNM license with the American College of Nurse Midwives.
