Heather Laflam, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner at Nile Women’s Health Care in Roswell, Georgia.
Heather’s goal as a certified-nurse midwife is to make sure no woman has to experience the type of traumatic experience that she went through with the birth of her second child. She wants to help others avoid feeling the way she did. It’s what guided her pursuit to become a midwife.
Originally from Danielsville, GA, Heather attended the Medical College of GA for her bachelors in nursing where she decided she would dedicate her career to helping mothers and babies. Dr. Tuck graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Insititute of Technology, and practiced as an engineer for a few years before making the switch to medicine. I went into medicine in order to become an obstetrician and gynecologist. I fell in love with the obstetrical part of women’s care because of the involvement in the miracle of birth.
