About Dr. Ryan Stratford
Ryan Stratford, MD, MBA, FACOG, is a board-certified female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon (FPMRS) and board-certified gynecologist with a strong background in treating urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. At The Woman’s Center, Dr. Stratford proudly serves the Phoenix-area community of Mesa, Arizona.
Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, where his father served as a United States Air Force pilot, Dr. Stratford and his family moved to Ogden, Utah, when he was a young boy. He attended Brigham Young University where he graduated in the honor’s program and magna cum laud with a degree in finance. He later attended the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine for his medical doctorate and obtained a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (widely considered one of the top three programs in the United States), where he graduated magna cum laude.
During his medical and business education, Dr. Stratford studied health administration and policy at the University of Chicago Graduate Program, which awarded him a special certificate. With a strong interest in women’s health, Dr. Stratford and his family relocated to San Diego, California, for his residency in obstetrics and gynecology. He then completed additional medical training in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery in Texas.
Dr. Stratford had the exclusive opportunity to work with Dr. Bob Shull, a world-renowned urogynecological surgeon and a leader in the field, at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas, during his fellowship. After completing his fellowship in 2005, Dr. Stratford moved to Arizona to launch The Woman’s Center a specialty center focused on pelvic floor dysfunction treatment and research.
Above all else, Dr. Stratford is devoted to promoting women’s health. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and he serves in a number of professional positions in local, national, and international medical organizations. Throughout his career, Dr. Stratford has served on many boards for medical societies and foundations. He served as treasurer for the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS), board member of the AUGS Foundation and AUGS, president of the Arizona Maricopa County Medical Society, and board member of the Foundation for the International Urogynecologic Association (IUGA) that supports research and treatment of women in underserved countries throughout the world.
In addition to service on medical societies and foundations, Dr. Stratford is currently a clinical assistant professor for the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, where he teaches residents and medical students. As a women’s health advocate, Dr. Stratford teaches about pelvic floor disorders at local and national workshops.
Outside of the office, Dr. Stratford especially enjoys spending as much time as he can with his wife, Emily, of 25+ years, and their five children. With two of his oldest children married, he hopes to be a grandpa soon. He is very active and tries to fit in cycling, swimming, hiking, and other outdoor activities in his spare time. He especially loves to travel with his family.

About Dr. Kelly Kantartzis
Kelly Kantartzis, MD, MS, FACOG is a board-certified female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon (FPMRS) and board-certified gynecologist serving the Phoenix-area community in Mesa, Arizona, at The Woman’s Center. She specializes in minimally invasive surgical approaches to prolapse and incontinence repair.
A native of Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Kantartzis moved around the country before settling down in western Pennsylvania, where she attended the Pennsylvania State University. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology in the school’s honors program, Dr. Kantartzis enrolled in medical school at The University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Kantartzis has always been interested in women’s health, and after graduating from medical school, she completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. During her residency, Dr. Kantartzis’ passion for minimally invasive pelvic floor surgery grew, so it came as no surprise when she was selected twice as the resident with the best laparoscopic skill set.
After her residency, Dr. Kantartzis stayed at Magee-Womens Hospital to complete a pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery fellowship, and she trained in complicated vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches to the management of pelvic floor disorders from leaders in the urogynecology field. While in fellowship, Dr. Kantartzis obtained a clinical research master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh to better serve her patients and help improve their outcomes for pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Kantartzis is a clinical assistant professor for the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, where she teaches residents and medical students.
In her free time, Dr. Kantartzis is very busy raising her two daughters with her husband, Stamatis. She enjoys fitness, being outdoors, and relaxing with her family.

About Dr. Peter Jeppson
Peter Jeppson, MD, FACOG, FACS, was raised in Bountiful, Utah. He attended Utah State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He then graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, Missouri, followed by residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Following residency, he completed three additional years of fellowship training to acquire advanced expertise in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, colloquially called Urogynecology, at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Jeppson is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and sub-specialty certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (FPRMS). In addition, he is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He worked at University of New Mexico from 2013 – 2022, serving as the Director of the Division of Urogynecology from 2016 – 2022.
Dr. Jeppson has been very involved in several national and international organizations and has published over 50 research articles in prestigious scientific journals on the treatment of pelvic floor disorders. Many of these research articles were selected as required reading for physicians practicing in the US to maintain board certification. Dr. Jeppson is a board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology which is the exam for practicing gynecologists in the US to become board certified, as well as a board examiner for FPMRS board certification. Both are markers of excellence and demonstrate commitment to the highest and most current standards of care.
Dr. Jeppson is currently an associate professor with dual appointment at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, and the University of New Mexico where he teaches fellows, residents, and medical students. He has planned several national meetings and workshops to teach surgical skills to providers, with attendees from throughout North America and the world. Dr. Jeppson was recently awarded a multimillion-dollar grant to directly compare treatment options for the treatment of Urgency Urinary Incontinence. He will retain his affiliation with UNM through 2027 to help oversee and complete this research study.
For the past 10 years, Dr. Jeppson has traveled to Rwanda as part of a surgical team to help treat women suffering from pelvic fistula as a result of complications from childbirth. In this role, he provides direct patient care to women that would not otherwise have access to treatment, thereby restoring quality of life and allowing them to reintegrate into society. While in Rwanda, he also teaches students, residents, and doctors on the best practices to treat fistula, which generally requires complex surgical planning.
Dr. Jeppson has extensive experience treating pelvic floor disorders including urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. In addition, he is experienced in treating complicated issues following prior surgeries such as fistula, or issues associated with pelvic mesh. He was Recognized as one of Albuquerque’s “Top Doctors” in Albuquerque The Magazine in 2022, 2020, 2019, 2017, and 2015. He is excited to bring his expertise to Phoenix and help patients while working at The Woman’s Center.
Outside of work, Dr. Jeppson enjoys spending time with his family. He has been married to his wife, Lori, for 20+ years and they have two rapidly growing boys. When he’s not at the baseball diamond cheering on his kids, Dr. Jeppson can be found swimming laps at the local pool. He loves traveling with his family, including an annual trip to Island Park, Idaho and Yellowstone National Park.

Dr. Willmott’s expertise includes the treatment of all gynecologic malignancies including ovarian, uterine, cervical and vulvar cancers. She serves as principal investigator on a number of clinical trials and is a member of the cervical cancer committee with the Gynecologic Oncology Group. She is the Chief of Gynecologic Oncology at Banner University Medical Center and is the director of the oncology curriculum for the Banner residency in OBGYN.

Ann Langer, MD, is a highly-educated obstetrician and gynecologist providing exceptional care at Arizona Women’s Care in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Langer started her higher education at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, located in Vermillion, South Dakota. Meet Dr. Heathcott
JulieAnn Heathcott, MD, is a skilled, board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist practicing at Arizona Women’s Care in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Heathcott attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, for her bachelor’s degree in biology. Through her years in education, Dr. Heathcott was active with community outreach. She offered health education in high schools and served as an instructor and volunteer on an AIDS task force. Since finishing her degrees, she has served numerous appointments, including chairman of Taste of SLU Med Silent Auction and presenter at the Ray Jennett Society Meeting 2000.

Kelly Helms, MD, is an esteemed obstetrician and gynecologist currently providing compassionate care to adolescent and adult women at Arizona Women’s Care in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Helms began her education at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology and a second bachelor’s degree in agriculture science in bioresource research. Afterward, she completed a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Throughout her education and career, Dr. Helms has explored a diverse variety of research interests, including robotic surgery, hepatitis B in pregnant women, and gonorrhea. She has also published and presented a video titled “Critical Considerations for the Vaginal Trachelectomy.”
