Kayla completed her nurse-midwife education at the University of Michigan, where she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. During nursing school, Kayla worked as a physical therapist technician and then as a nurse technician on a postpartum unit. She received her bachelor's in nursing science from Oakland University in 2018 and then worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Ascension St. John from 2018 to 2021 while completing her midwifery education.
During her midwifery education, Kayla was a group leader in the University of Michigan's first-ever "Stay Home, Stay Connected" program, which allows patients to virtually connect with their midwife and obstetrical care team for prenatal care during the pandemic.
Kayla's professional passions include providing trauma-informed perinatal care and labor support. Outside of the midwifery world, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family and husband and taking care of their ten-year-old Lab-Blue Heeler fur baby named Diesel.
Joseph Love, M.D., is a board-certified OB/GYN and managing partner of Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan. Dr. Love is committed to compassionate patient care and has a special interest in obstetrics and minimally invasive surgery.
After completing his undergraduate degree from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, Dr. Love went on to earn his medical degree from Wayne State Medical School in Detroit. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Love has a particular interest in state-of-the-art technology and performed the first robotic hysterectomy at Troy Beaumont.

Dr. Page attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate degree and earned her medical degree from Wayne State University. She went on to complete her residency at the Detroit Medical Center/Sinai Hospital, where she received the Resident of Excellence Award in Laparoscopy and the Resident Research Award. She was also named a Top Doc in Hour Detroit Magazine.
Dr. Page is passionate about her work and has enjoyed caring for her patients in all phases of their lives. She is especially interested in adolescent gynecology and menopause management. Lana Powell, MD, provides personalized care to her patients at Comprehensive Women’s Health, with locations in Oxford and Birmingham, Michigan. She is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with more than 20 years of experience.
A Michigan native, Dr. Powell has remained in her home state throughout her career. She attended the Wayne State University of Medicine in Detroit and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, where she continues to be a part of the attending staff. Sophie completed her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery at Yale School of Nursing. Prior to earning her Master's degree, she received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan, with a major in ecology. During her midwifery program she worked as a nurse at a freestanding birth center. She worked as a midwife in New York's Hudson Valley and Kalamazoo before returning home to southeast Michigan to provide care in 2021.
Sophie's professional interests include preventive and preconception care and perinatal education. Dana attended Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan. She then worked as a labor and delivery nurse assistant at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. After obtaining her certifications, she went on to pursue her master’s degree in nursing at Frontier Nursing University.

During residency, she served as Resident Education Chair and joined the Obstetric Initiative Committee, where she worked toward improvement initiatives in maternity care. Megan completed her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery at the University of Michigan. Prior to earning her Master's degree, she received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Palomar College in California and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boise State University. During her time in California, Megan served as a volunteer doula. She also worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, from 2019 to 2022.
