Heather Cambare, MSN, CNM, officially joined Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., in 2020. She sees patients at the practice’s two convenient locations in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.
Heather received her Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2020 after earning an Associate of Science in Nursing from Macomb Community College in 2003. She has been working alongside the midwives and doctors of Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., in the Labor and Delivery unit of Troy Beaumont Hospital for the past thirteen years! Many of you will probably already know her from the wonderful care she provided you during your hospital stays.
Passionate about women’s health, Heather is committed to providing individualized care to her patients across the lifespan, aims to support normal physiological birth, and has a special interest in working with new moms on breastfeeding challenges. She has served a total of sixteen years as a Labor and Delivery nurse and holds an in-patient Obstetrics Nursing National Certification.
Outside of work, Heather loves to spend time outdoors with her family, traveling, camping, hiking, and skiing.
Buffie L. Severns, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., with two convenient locations in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.
Buffie started her nursing career in the United States Army as a combat medic. She went on to earn her associate’s degree in nursing from San Antonio College in Texas, her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and her Master of Science in Nursing as a certified nurse-midwife from Wayne State University.
She has traveled extensively, following her husband’s military career, and has been blessed to work in many different areas of nursing, including pediatrics, labor and delivery, postpartum, and outpatient women’s health. Buffie was a certified childbirth educator and instructed classes in Kansas, West Virginia, and South Korea. She is also a certified physical fitness instructor-trainer for the US Army Pregnancy Physical Training Program.
Buffie is an all-time favorite and has quite an amazing reputation. She provides intensely personal and loving care to all of her patients.
Her professional passions include pregnancy and childbirth education, family planning, and menopausal issues. Buffie’s personal passions include spending time with her husband, sons, and grandson. Together, they enjoy boating, water skiing, doing yard work, and playing with the family dog.
Laura J. Hazely, MSN, CNM, joined the midwife team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., in 2016. She is proud to provide the highest quality of women's health care to patients in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.
In 2014, Laura completed the Nurse-Midwife Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago with her master's degree. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Laura has always had a passion for women's health. As a Certified Nurse-Midwife, she provides well-woman and gynecological services but especially enjoys providing family-centered pregnancy care. She also has a special interest in breastfeeding and postpartum support.
At Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., Laura provides her patients education and support throughout their pregnancy journey. She takes a compassionate approach to care and listens to each of her patients' unique needs.

LouAnne E. Case, MSN, CNM, has over 20 years of professional nursing experience in obstetrics. She serves patients throughout Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C.
LouAnne earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York, before going on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing and Women's Health from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She also holds a certificate of Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Kentucky.
During the past 17 years, LouAnne has worked as a certified nurse-midwife in private practice with OB/GYN physicians on staff at William Beaumont Hospital. She also worked as a nurse-midwife in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a nurse-midwife, LouAnne is qualified to provide well-woman gynecological care and prenatal care, including deliveries.

Amy Tooley, MD, is proud to provide comprehensive care to patients at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., which has locations in Rochester Hills, Troy, and Lenox, Michigan.
Dr. Tooley attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate training. She received her medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and completed her residency at Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. In residency she served as the resident representative for the robotic surgery curriculum and was recognized for excellence in maternal fetal medicine.
Dr. Tooley enjoys taking care of patients at all stages of life. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive surgical procedures including robotic surgery, general and high-risk obstetrics, and infertility work-up and treatment. She values providing individualized care and shared-decision making with her patients.

Young Yoon, D.O., brings many years of experience to the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. He provides comprehensive women’s health care to patients throughout Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.
Dr. Yoon has been in practice since 2011, primarily in Southwest Michigan. He grew up in Florida and received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry/Biochemistry at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Yoon moved to Iowa to pursue his Doctor of Osteopathy at Des Moines University. He completed his OB/GYN residency in the St. John Hospital system.
Dr. Yoon enjoys all aspects of women’s health, most especially the wonderful relationships he is able to build with his patients over the years and the opportunity to care for them through all phases of life.

Dr. Gallagher has an interest in treating women throughout all stages of life, from their first well-woman visits through menopause. She enjoys obstetrics and is humbled to be part of the birth experience. Additionally, she is trained in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopy and robotic surgery.
Dr. Gallagher received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed her residency at Michigan State University/Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In residency, she was awarded the MFM Exemplary Resident.
Dr. Gallagher enjoys spending her free time around Metro Detroit and all that it has to offer, as well as hiking, skiing, and water activities in the summer. Additionally, she is always eager to get into a new book.
Kennedy Mamo, IBCLC, is an international board-certified lactation consultant at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, serving patients in and around Rochester Hills, Michigan. Her mission is to provide exceptional support to lactating persons and their babies.
Kennedy comes to Oakland Macomb with experience as a Staff Nurse and Lactation Consultant. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan, and has been certified in lactation for two years now.
As a Certified Lactation Consultant, Kennedy enjoys supporting patients and empowering them in their breastfeeding journey. She is an invaluable asset to her patients and the team here at Oakland Macomb.
In her spare time outside of the office, Kennedy enjoys gardening, coaching soccer, boating, and spending time with her husband, Ryan, and dog, Beau.

Patricia Goymerac, M.D., joined Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., in 2006. Dr. Goymerac brings nearly twenty years of experience to the team and is proud to provide comprehensive care to patients throughout Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.
Dr. Goymerac grew up in Oxford and graduated from Oxford High School. She attended the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, graduating cum laude in 1997. Dr. Goymerac returned to Michigan to attend medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids and graduated in 2001.
Following medical school, Dr. Goymerac completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, where she was Chief Resident. She then worked as a Faculty Attending Physician at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, also in Chicago, before returning home and getting married in 2006.
Dr. Goymerac is an Hour Detroit Top Doc and is known for her excellence in problem solving, loving demeanor, and strong relationships that she develops with all of her patients.

Shelley Sapick, M.D., is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Sapick is proud to be serving the needs of women at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.
Dr. Sapick earned her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio. She went on to complete her residency training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, and has been in private practice since 2005. Her special interests include high-risk obstetrics, complicated pelvic surgery, and minimally invasive gynecology techniques.
Originally from the Cincinnati area, Dr. Sapick has resided in Michigan since 2001. She is excited to be permanently settling in the area after her marriage in 2008. Many of her former patients may also recognize her by her maiden name of “Steenken.”
Dr. Sapick is an Hour Detroit Top Doc and has a wonderful following of patients who she thinks of as family. Dr. Sapick has the gift of never making patients feel rushed and working tenaciously to get to the root of any problem.

Staci Hopkins, M.D., is a dedicated obstetrician and gynecologist bringing ten + years of experience to the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan. Dr. Hopkins strives to create a personal and fulfilling relationship with each of her patients.
Dr. Hopkins was raised in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University in East Lansing for her undergraduate training, followed by Michigan State University College of Human Medicine for her medical degree. Dr. Hopkins then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Chicago, Illinois, at Rush University Medical Center. She was chosen as chief resident during her final year, and upon graduation received the Excellence in Surgery award, presented by the attending physicians.
Dr. Hopkins has an amazing breadth of knowledge in all things Obstetrics and Gynecology. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, addressing menstrual problems, contraception, pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS, infertility, menopause, etc. She also loves putting her obstetrical patients at ease, taking the time to answer questions and guide them through their pregnancy. Dr. Hopkins is also very experienced at taking care of high-risk pregnancies. She forms tremendous bonds with her patients; this allows them to feel comfortable, during routine care as well as during difficult times. Dr. Hopkins is skilled at all gynecologic surgical procedures, including a specific interest in minimally invasive/laparoscopic surgery. She has special training in the Da Vinci robotic hysterectomy allowing faster return to normal life after surgery.
Dr. Hopkins is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She lives with her husband, their two young daughters, and their fur baby pooch. She enjoys sailing and baking in her free time.
Jennifer Peng, M.D., is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist specializing in the care of women of all ages at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. Dr. Peng sees patients at the practice’s two convenient locations in Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.
A native Texan (Howdy!), Dr. Peng lived in California and Taiwan prior to moving to Michigan. She started college at 16 years old and went to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she completed her degree in Neuroscience in three years.
Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Peng went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Texas before moving to Michigan for her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Beaumont-Royal Oak. While there, she had the honor of working as the chief resident in her last year and graduated with the Harold Longyear Award (Top graduating resident).
Her clinical interests include general and high-risk obstetrics, management of abnormal Pap smears, contraception, PCOS, minimally-invasive surgical techniques, and breastfeeding medicine. Dr. Peng is board-certified as an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant).
Dr. Peng is interested in improving physician-patient communication and practices shared decision-making with her patients. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Peng is married with two children. She is a foodie and loves everything from the Harry Potter world (She is a Gryffindor with a streak of Ravenclaw). Her favorite bands are BTS and the Beatles. She also knows Chinese Mandarin (Native speaker).
Megan Nelson, MSN, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife on the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. She cares for patients throughout Rochester Hills, Troy, and Lenox, Michigan.
Megan completed her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery at the University of Michigan. Prior to earning her Master's degree, she received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Palomar College in California and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boise State University. During her time in California, Megan served as a volunteer doula. She also worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, from 2019 to 2022.
At Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., Megan's professional passions include providing holistic and trauma-informed care, supporting physiologic labor, perinatal mental health, and advocating for patient autonomy. Dr. Wallace spent her undergraduate years at Indiana University in Bloomington. Dr. Chae was born in South Korea and moved to Canada with her family at a young age. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biotechnology at University of Windsor where she also received her Master of Business Administration which she completed in Rouen, France. She worked in hospital administration in Toronto before pursuing her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
During her medical school, she was recognized for her service to the community and received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award for her compassion in delivery of care, respect for patients and their families. She completed her residency at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and was active in the Michigan Section of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Chae is passionate about women’s health and empowering women through education and advocacy. She enjoys taking care of patients at all stages of life. Kayla LeMarbe, DNP, CNM, is a certified nurse-midwife on the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. She cares for women and their families throughout Rochester Hills, Troy and Lenox, Michigan.
Kayla completed her nurse-midwife education at the University of Michigan, where she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. During nursing school, Kayla worked as a physical therapist technician and then as a nurse technician on a postpartum unit. She received her bachelor's in nursing science from Oakland University in 2018 and then worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Ascension St. John from 2018 to 2021 while completing her midwifery education.
During her midwifery education, Kayla was a group leader in the University of Michigan's first-ever "Stay Home, Stay Connected" program, which allows patients to virtually connect with their midwife and obstetrical care team for prenatal care during the pandemic.
Kayla's professional passions include providing trauma-informed perinatal care and labor support. Outside of the midwifery world, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family and husband and taking care of their ten-year-old Lab-Blue Heeler fur baby named Diesel.
