Dr. Larry Overcash is a board-certified OB/GYN who serves the residents of Peoria, Illinois and many of the surrounding communities. At his facility, Women’s Health Institute, Dr. Overcash treats women during all stages of their lives. Starting with adolescence and following through until their geriatric years, he works to educate his patients and provide them with the very best in preventative care. He takes the time needed to answer his patients’ questions and address their concerns. His goal is to help them achieve the best health possible and live a full and active life.
Dr. Overcash received his medical degree from the University of Illinois and his internship from St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, and he was named Chief Resident in 1986. He received his board certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is recognized as a Fellow by the members of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of many state and national medical associations, including the American Medical Association, the Illinois State Medical Society and the Peoria Gynecologic Society. Dr. Overcash maintains active staff privileges at OSF Saint Francis, Methodist Medical Center of Illinois, and Proctor Hospital. He is on the board of directors at Peoria Day Surgical Center, while also serving as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
At his practice, Dr. Overcash offers his patients a full line of medical services that have to do with women’s health and the reproductive system. In his career, he has delivered more than 12,000 babies and supervised the pre-natal care for thousands of women. He continues to offer treatments that utilize the latest in technological advancements for his patients, which include many different fertility techniques as well as the use of bio-identical hormones. One of his primary areas of expertise is reconstructive pelvic surgery. His experience and knowledge in these fields make him a respected member of the medical community throughout the Peoria area.
Raised on a farm near Canton, Illinois, Dr. Overcash still enjoys farming with his family. He is an avid hunter and most enjoys spending time outdoors with his two sons and daughter Luke, Ty, and Tess.

Dr. Mathern was born and raised in North Dakota. She received her undergraduate and medical degree through the University of North Dakota. She did her OB/GYN residency training here in Peoria, IL through the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria at OSF and Methodist.
Dr. Mathern is board eligible through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as American Medical Association. Katie Crawley, DO, FACOG, serves the community of Peoria, Illinois, at Teverbaugh Croland & Mueller Ob/Gyn & Associates.
Dr. Crawley grew up in a large family in Metamora, Illinois. She attended Loyola University Chicago for an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Biology. She then completed medical school at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and performed her obstetrics and gynecology residency through Midwestern University in Chicago.
Dr. Crawley is a board-certified fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology. She holds membership with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Peoria Medical Society. Dr. Crawley is on staff at OSF St. Francis Hospital, Unity Point Methodist Medical Center, Unity Point Proctor Hospital, and Center for Health Ambulatory Surgery Center. She is active in resident and medical student education with UICOM.
She is happily married with a child and enjoys spending time with her family. Her love for women’s health began at a young age through the example of her grandfather, Dr. Carl Mattioda, who delivered over three generations of children in Streator, Illinois. She has endeavored to reach out to those in need of care through medical missions and serving the underserved as far as Bolivia, Ecuador, and Guatemala.

Joshua A. Croland, MD, FACOG, of Teverbaugh Croland & Mueller Ob/Gyn & Associates, S.C., in Peoria, Illinois, received a B.S. in Bioscience at the University of Illinois in Champaign. After attending medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, he completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Penn State Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, with an elective rotation in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Evanston Hospital and Northwestern University. He was chairman of the obstetrics and gynecology department at Community Hospital of Ottawa before returning to Peoria.
Dr. Croland is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the Peoria Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and the American Urogynecologic Society. He is a clinical assistant at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

Lori A. Teverbaugh, MD, FACOG, of Teverbaugh Croland & Mueller Ob/Gyn & Associates, S.C., in Peoria, Illinois, received a B.S. in Biology at the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois. After attending Medical School at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, she completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where she was also Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2002-2003.

Dr. James L. Swingler MD, MS, FACOG is in his 37th year of OB/Gyn practice in Peoria, Illinois. He is delighted to be merging his medical practice with Teverbaugh, Croland, and Mueller Ob/Gyn & Associates.
Dr. Swingler earned his BS degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He then earned his MS degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biology at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana as well in 1976. Next, he earned his MD degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He did his residency training at the University of Illinois at Peoria finishing that in 1984. Since then he has been a professor at the College of Medicine teaching medical students and residents, helping to train the last 35 classes of graduates.
Dr. Swingler is board certified and has been a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1986. He has been a member of the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology since 1982. Dr. Swingler actively helped to establish the Gynecology Laser procedure programs in Peoria in 1984 since he is quite interested in Lasers. Dr. Swingler is also very interested in HPV and abnormal pap smear evaluations and treatment. He also likes to evaluate and treat the various female infections that occur with his strong background in Microbiology.
In his spare time, Dr. Swingler is very involved with Agriculture and gardening. He has 3 grown children and one darling granddaughter.
