Shira Plonka is a board certified Genetic Counselor at ROSH Maternal Fetal Medicine. Additionally, she is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC); she earned her Master of Science in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College. Prior to receiving her master’s, Shira received an honors degree in psychology and social work from University of Waterloo. Shira has held internships in many of New York City’s top hospitals, acquiring a broad exposure to many disciplines and specialties, including cancer and pediatric genetics. 

Shira focuses on preconception and prenatal genetic counseling: carrier screening, prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic testing. She provides information about the risks of chromosome abnormalities, birth defects, genetic conditions, and teratogen exposure to individuals, couples or families. Dr. Marjon Mobasseri grew up in Ohio and graduated from Case Western Reserve University where she studied Biomedical Engineering. She earned her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine, after which she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Brooklyn Hospital Center.

In addition to providing the full range of obstetric and gynecologic services, Dr. Mobasseri is active in research and community wellness projects. With each patient visit she strives to provide an environment of comfort and cooperation, and she looks forward to delivering optimal care to you.

In her free time, Dr. Mobasseri enjoys spending time with family and traveling. In addition to English, she is fluent in Persian.

Daniel F. Roshan, MD, FACOG, FACS, specializes in maternal-fetal medicine, demonstrating an expertise in high-risk pregnancies that’s well known in New York City and beyond, as women needing chorionic villus sampling are referred to him from across the country. He truly considers it an honor to take exceptional care of his patients with high-risk pregnancies at his practice, Rosh Maternal & Fetal Medicine in the Midtown East area of New York City.

Dr. Roshan specializes in recurrent pregnancy losses, preterm labor, multiple pregnancies, thrombophilia and pregnancy, and performing cerclage procedures. He also offers experienced medical care for women faced with chronic disease during pregnancy.

Ellen received her undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. She earned her masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.

Upon completing a post graduate Emergency Department Fellowship, she transitioned into OBGYN to follow her passion for Obstetrics and Women's Health. She places emphasis on health education, preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of women to have a positive impact on their lives.

Ellen is originally from Upstate New York. In her free time she enjoys playing field hockey, hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family.

Dr. John Migotsky is a Board-certified OB/GYN, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He comes to ROSH Maternal-Fetal medicine with 16 years of experience.  After graduating from Brown University with a degree in neuroscience, Dr. Migotsky conducted research in maternal/child health and perinatal epidemiology with the Rhode Island Department of Health.  He received his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.  Then he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY.  Prior to his work with ROSH, he worked in private practice in Westchester, NY and was affiliated with Greenwich Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dr. John Migotsky is committed to providing high-quality care to patients by listening to their concerns, addressing their needs and providing insightful remedies and recommendations.  He has delivered thousands of babies including many vaginal births after Cesarean section (VBAC).  His team approach encompasses gynecologic oncology, infertility and urogynecology.  In addition, he has comprehensive experience performing gynecologic surgery.  His warm and sensitive care insures a successful outcome.

Anna Barbieri, MD, is a double board-certified gynecologist and integrative medicine physician, as well as a specialist in menopause medicine. In her New York City practice located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, her passion is truly personalized, modern holistic care of women. From preventive care to complex gynecologic issues such as PCOS or fibroids, Dr. Barbieri partners with her patients to help them maintain or restore optimal gynecologic and hormonal health.  Dr. Barbieri also has special expertise in navigating menopause, where she focuses on each patient by customizing nutrition, lifestyle, and use of hormonal (including bioidentical) or nonhormonal treatments when appropriate.  Blending the best of conventional and evidence-based holistic approaches including select mind-body, supplement, and nutritional techniques alongside medications and surgery, Dr. Barbieri believes in medical care that relies on a trusted personal patient/doctor relationship that explores the best healing methods for each patient.

Dr. Radoslav Jovanovic, founder of the Manhattan Laser Center for Vein Treatment, is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been treating women and men on the Upper East Side for over 30 years.

Dr. Kevin Jovanovic, a board-certified surgeon in Obstetrics and Gynecology, is trained in the newest and most advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy surgical techniques. Laparoscopy has transformed gynecology, cutting recovery time and eliminating much of the pain associated with traditional gynecological surgery. As a testament to his expertise, Dr. Jovanovic received Yale University's Outstanding Laparoscopic Surgeon Award in 2004. In addition, he has been exceptionally trained in high-risk obstetrics, infertility, chronic pelvic pain, and urogynecology (treating incontinence). He was recently appointed as an Associate Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dr. Jovanovic’s interest in women’s health led to his completing the prestigious Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute fellowship in Beverly Hills, California with Dr. David Matlock. He has since founded the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of New York City. Vaginal rejuvenation is a rapidly growing field within gynecology. Dr. Jovanovic is not only specialized in obstetrics and gynecology -- he has received extensive post-graduate training in Cosmetic Surgery including Tumescent Liposuction, Botox/Filler, Laser Hair and Vein Removal, and Sclerotherapy. In 2006, he received the 2006 Top Plastic Surgeons Award in the field of cosmetic surgery.

He completed four years of training at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, where he helped run the Yale University Women’s Center, which serves over 35,000 patients a year. Ana Bermudez, MD, FACOG is a skilled, board-certified physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Serving patients at OBGYN Westside on the Upper West Side of New York City, Dr. Bermudez welcomes patients from throughout the five boroughs.

Dr. Bermudez received her bachelor’s in International Relations from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she was a Davis Scholar. She continued on to Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to complete her pre-medical studies. Returning to Brown for her graduate studies, Dr. Bermudez earned her medical degree from the Alpert Medical School with academic and public service honors.

Relocating to California, Dr. Bermudez completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Los Angeles. After years of intense study, she was named an attending physician at Stanford Medicine Partners in Northern California. She enjoys providing care in all areas of obstetrics and gynecology, including labor and delivery, preconception, and contraceptive counseling.

Dr. Bermudez especially enjoys building relationships with her patients and seeing them through all stages of their care. She is fluent in English and Spanish and also speaks Portuguese. She is looking forward to becoming a New Yorker!

Katharine Pelletier, MD, is an experienced, board-certified OBGYN. She joined the team of compassionate providers at OBGYN Westside, PLLC, located in the Upper West Side of New York City, and sees patients throughout the five boroughs and tri-state area.

Dr. Pelletier is a native New Yorker who is particularly interested in general pregnancy care, high-risk obstetrics, contraception, adolescent GYN, and LGBTQ+ care. She graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and completed her premedical studies at Columbia University in New York, New York, after which she received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn.

Dr. Pelletier completed her OBGYN residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, and comes to the practice with experience in private practice. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and improving her French language skills.

Michelle D. Morgan, M.D. FACOG is a founding member of OBGYN Westside, where she has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology on the since 2001. Dr. Morgan attended Lehigh University for her undergraduate degree in civil engineering, and then earned her medical degree at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology training at the Mount Sinai Hospital on the upper east side of Manhattan, where she is an Assistant Professor and remains active in medical education.

Dr. Morgan specializes in creating patient-centered treatment plans.  She brings a personal touch to the clinical environment with a special emphasis on quality patient care.  She has earned a reputation for fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere to help even the most uncomfortable patient feel at ease and trust the medical process.  

In her free time, Dr. Morgan enjoys spending time with her family traveling, cooking, going to Soul Cycle and spoiling her dog Charlie :).

Ching-Lynn Chen, MD, FACOG is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has a special interest in helping women optimize their overall wellness as well as their reproductive and sexual health through every stage of life, including adolescence, pregnancy and menopause. In addition to her love of obstetrics, her interests include contraception, adolescent gynecology, perimenopause and menopause, and family planning. She has been in private practice with OBGYN Westside since 2000 and is a founding member. 

Dr. Chen received B.A. in psychology at Stanford University, and is a graduate of the SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Dr. Chen is a member of the voluntary faculty and is a Clinical Instructor at the Mount Sinai Hospital on the upper east side of Manhattan where she remains active in medical student and resident education. She enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, hiking and walking her dog in Central Park.

Justine Kim, MD is a board certified physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Kim is committed to providing each patient with compassionate, skilled and comfortable care.

Dr. Kim attended Columbia University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude specializing in Neuroscience and Behavior. She then went on to SUNY Downstate Medical School where she not only graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society but was also awarded the 41st Annual Chandler McCuskey Brooks Award. This prestigious award is given to one medical student for outstanding achievement in the basic sciences.

Dr. Kim then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Dr. Kim has been awarded several research grants and worked in various research departments throughout her career. She has special clinical interests in laparoscopic surgery and family planning.

When she is not in the office, Dr. Kim enjoys painting, exploring new restaurants and walking her corgi, Frankie, around the park.
