Shira Plonka is a board certified Genetic Counselor at ROSH Maternal Fetal Medicine. Additionally, she is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC); she earned her Master of Science in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College. Prior to receiving her master’s, Shira received an honors degree in psychology and social work from University of Waterloo. Shira has held internships in many of New York City’s top hospitals, acquiring a broad exposure to many disciplines and specialties, including cancer and pediatric genetics.
Shira focuses on preconception and prenatal genetic counseling: carrier screening, prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic testing. She provides information about the risks of chromosome abnormalities, birth defects, genetic conditions, and teratogen exposure to individuals, couples or families. Dr. John Migotsky is a Board-certified OB/GYN, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He comes to ROSH Maternal-Fetal medicine with 16 years of experience. After graduating from Brown University with a degree in neuroscience, Dr. Migotsky conducted research in maternal/child health and perinatal epidemiology with the Rhode Island Department of Health. He received his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Then he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. Prior to his work with ROSH, he worked in private practice in Westchester, NY and was affiliated with Greenwich Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. John Migotsky is committed to providing high-quality care to patients by listening to their concerns, addressing their needs and providing insightful remedies and recommendations. He has delivered thousands of babies including many vaginal births after Cesarean section (VBAC). His team approach encompasses gynecologic oncology, infertility and urogynecology. In addition, he has comprehensive experience performing gynecologic surgery. His warm and sensitive care insures a successful outcome.
Ellen received her undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. She earned her masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.
Upon completing a post graduate Emergency Department Fellowship, she transitioned into OBGYN to follow her passion for Obstetrics and Women's Health. She places emphasis on health education, preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of women to have a positive impact on their lives.
Ellen is originally from Upstate New York. In her free time she enjoys playing field hockey, hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family.
Robert Berg, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Arcadia Ob/Gyn, with New York City offices in the Koreatown neighborhood of Manhattan and Flushing in Queens, New York. He is an experienced woman’s health practitioner who provides care for women throughout all stages of their life. Unlike many other women’s health specialists in the area practicing at academic medical centers, Dr. Berg doesn’t just deliver babies or do surgery.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College in Valhalla, Dr. Berg completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at New York University Medical Center in Manhattan.

Dr. Suzanne Fenske is passionate about empowering women to take charge of their health. As a double board-certified gynecologist and integrative medicine physician she offers a genuine, integrative approach, combining traditional medicine with botanicals, targeted supplements, and personalized lifestyle strategies.
Dr. Fenske’s passion arises from her personal experiences with hormones and health. She was diagnosed with PCOS in her 20s and followed the conventional recommendation to take birth control pills, which worsened her IBS. The IBS resolved when she stopped taking the pill, leading to a fascination with the interconnectedness of the body and how hormones respond to women’s environment, food, and stress.
Many years later, after enduring a stressful time, Dr. Fenske experienced amenorrhea (loss of menstrual cycles). When the stress calmed, and her cycles returned, she realized she was in perimenopause and was inspired to learn more about the struggles every woman faces as her hormones change in mid-life. She made it her passion and career to be educated in different approaches to healthcare and wellbeing. Anna Barbieri, MD, is a double board-certified gynecologist and integrative medicine physician, as well as a specialist in menopause medicine. In her New York City practice located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, her passion is truly personalized, modern holistic care of women. From preventive care to complex gynecologic issues such as PCOS or fibroids, Dr. Barbieri partners with her patients to help them maintain or restore optimal gynecologic and hormonal health. Amir Shay, MD, is an experienced obstetrician and gynecologist with the team at VCAREOBGYN in the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. Dr. Shay earned his medical degree at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. Natasha B. Santos-Piñero, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist offering comprehensive healthcare for women at V CARE OB/GYN in the Upper East Side of New York City. Gabriela Olaru, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving patients at V CARE OB/GYN in the Upper East Side of New York City. Caroline Paster graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she received the Spirit of Midwifery Award along with Clinical and Academic Excellence Awards. Caroline received her Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience and Women’s Studies from Syracuse University and completed a post-baccalaureate at New York University. Caroline previously worked as a midwife at Coney Island Hospital servicing a diverse population of patients. She was recently awarded the 2016 Outstanding Preceptor Award from the American College of Nurse Midwives. Caroline thoroughly enjoys her work in obstetrics and gynecology and is also involved in training student midwives.
