Dr. Gari was born and raised in Miami. As a graduate with honors from Christopher Columbus High School, he attended the University of Miami for his undergraduate studies in pre-medicine from 1998 to 2002. She was a two-term member of Medical Students for Choice’s board of directors, the vice president of the Miami-Dade chapter of the National Medical Association, the first female board-certified Haitian-American to practice in North Miami, and the only obstetrician member of the fetal and infant mortality review board for Miami-Dade County. She’s also been instrumental in reshaping the policies of local hospitals to promote VBAC and has a confirmed 5-10% primary c-section rate.
Dr. Magloire is active in the field of women’s reproductive health issues. She worked with the midwifery community since 2004 and was the physician champion for breastfeeding promotion at Jackson North Medical Center in North Miami Beach. She’s given speeches nationally for health care disparities in women’s health and the need for reproductive justice, and was the keynote speaker for the national meeting of the Medical Students for Choice.
Her proudest accomplishment, however, is her two children, the second of which was delivered VBAC.

Todd Goldberg, DO, is a managing partner of Gemini OBGYN in Pembroke Pines and Weston, Florida. Dr. Goldberg is a native Floridian who grew up in Plantation, Florida. He’s grateful for the opportunity to practice and give back to the community in which he was raised, offering compassionate health care to women of all ages as part of the Gemini team.
After studying at Tulane University, Dr. Goldberg continued his education at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Goldberg is board certified and holds several academic appointments, including assistant professor at NSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He served 5 years as chief of staff at Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines. He previously served as the Ob/Gyn department chief for 4 years, secretary/treasurer of the medical staff for 2 years, and vice chief of staff for 3 years.
Dr. Goldberg lives in Weston with his wife, Amy, and their two sons. An avid cyclist, he frequently rides in charitable events geared to raise awareness of women’s health issues.
Douglas Smith, DO, of Gemini OBGYN in Pembroke Pines, FL, grew up in Philadelphia and practiced there for 6 years. He and Dr. Goldberg shared residencies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, after they both attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 2003, Dr. Smith moved to Weston and partnered with Dr. Goldberg in their medical practice. The 2 share a commitment to a “patients first” philosophy of health care.
Dr. Smith is currently the Chief of Staff at Memorial Hospital West. Previously he served as Department of OB/GYN Chief and Secretary/Treasurer of the hospital.
Dr. Smith enjoys the South Florida active outdoor lifestyle with his wife, Lori, and their two sons. He’s an avid golfer and swimmer.
