Cheryl Lynn Tanguilig Rudy, MD, is one of the founding OB/GYN doctors of the Hawaii Women’s Healthcare in Honolulu, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Genetics and a Master of Science in Public Health then earned a Doctor of Medicine at the University of California, Davis. She later completed her residency at the Univiersity of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine before starting the Hawaii Women’s Healthcare practice with Dr. Leialoha in 1997.
Dr. Rudy prescribes to and abides by preventative medicine ― she believes the key to a happy, long life is a balanced, healthy lifestyle. Being a breast cancer survivor herself, Dr. Rudy is passionate about empowering women to take control of their health and well-being by being proactive.
Outside of the office, Dr. Rudy enjoys walks on the beach, yoga, baking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and family dogs Garfield and Newton.

Cheryl Leialoha, MD, is an OB/GYN specializing in providing obstetrics and gynecology healthcare for women in a warm, caring environment.
A lifelong resident of Hawaii, Dr. Leialoha attended its public schools then graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Later, she completed her medical residency at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. In 1997, Dr. Leialoha co-founded the Hawaii Women’s Healthcare practice in Honolulu.
Dr. Leialoha enjoys practicing yoga, music, reading, and spending time with her husband and two boys. She also likes to travel and dreams of trekking across the Himalayas. Despite her healthy lifestyle, when the Nestle Crunch chocolate bar is missing at Hawaii Women’s Healthcare, there is a good chance that Dr. Leialoha ate it.

Saki Onda, MD, MPH, is a board certified OB/GYN in Honolulu, Hawaii. She joined the team at Hawaii Women’s Healthcare in 2019, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology with a special interest in global women’s health. She is dedicated to providing evidence-based patient-centered care.
Born in Japan but grew up in Texas and France, Dr. Onda has had a multicultural upbringing. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in reproductive science, then her Doctor of Medicine from Imperial College London in the United Kingdom. She then moved back stateside for her Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She worked for both domestic and international non-profit organizations, addressing maternal health in high-risk women before starting her OB/GYN residency at Bridgeport Hospital (Yale-New Haven Health) in Connecticut. During her residency, she spent time working in Botswana and also at Hawaii Women’s Healthcare, after which she decided she absolutely had to come back!
Dr. Onda speaks Japanese, French, and Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and outdoor activities.
