Originally from Haiti, Dr. Sylvestre has called Florida her home since moving to the United States as a teenager. Originally from Lilongwe, Malawi, Dr. Raju attended medical school at Maulana Azad Medical College and trained at Lok Nayak Hospital in New Delhi, India. After graduating in 2010, he worked as a clinical observer in obstetrics and gynecology at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Whittington Hospital in London, England.
Dr. Raju completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Michigan State University’s Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Beginning in 2016, he worked as a community obstetrics and gynecology provider with the Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing, Minnesota. Dr. Raju has also served as an obstetrician and gynecologist with the United States Army Reserve since 2016.
Dr. Raju returned to school in 2019, completing his master’s degree in biomedical sciences and his fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota. He is now an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the school.
