Anna Barbieri, MD, is a double board-certified gynecologist and integrative medicine physician, as well as a specialist in menopause medicine. Dr. Kevin Jovanovic, a board-certified surgeon in Obstetrics and Gynecology, is trained in the newest and most advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy surgical techniques. Laparoscopy has transformed gynecology, cutting recovery time and eliminating much of the pain associated with traditional gynecological surgery. As a testament to his expertise, Dr. Jovanovic received Yale University's Outstanding Laparoscopic Surgeon Award in 2004. In addition, he has been exceptionally trained in high-risk obstetrics, infertility, chronic pelvic pain, and urogynecology (treating incontinence). He was recently appointed as an Associate Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Jovanovic’s interest in women’s health led to his completing the prestigious Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute fellowship in Beverly Hills, California with Dr. David Matlock. He has since founded the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of New York City. Vaginal rejuvenation is a rapidly growing field within gynecology. Dr. Kameelah Phillips is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, wife, mother, and lifelong women’s health advocate. Since high school, she has been involved in local, national, and international organizations aimed at advancing women’s health care issues through advocacy and direct patient care.
Dr. Phillips graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology with an emphasis in Women’s Health and Human Sexuality. After graduation, she worked at the San Francisco Department of Public Health in the AIDS office as a Research Assistant on HIV vaccine studies. She relocated to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.
During medical school, she received numerous community service awards. She was privileged to travel to Ghana, Cuba, and Tanzania on health missions during this time. Upon completion of medical school, she attended a competitive OB/GYN residency at the New York University School of Medicine.
Grace Fimbel, MS, CNM, NP, is a certified nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health. She is proud to provide compassionate care and patient education to her patients at Women’s Healthcare of Princeton in Princeton, New Jersey, where she joins the team in their mission to care for women at all stages of life in a safe and caring environment.
A Hunter College graduate, Grace earned a Master of Science in women’s health and midwifery from Columbia University School of Nursing in New York City. She has worked at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center in Greenwich Village, Planned Parenthood in Hamilton and Trenton, New Jersey, and most recently, at St. Peter’s University Hospital as a midwife.
A native of New York City, Grace now lives in New Jersey and is a mother of two adult children and a grandmother to one grandson. Outside of work, she loves to travel and spend time with friends and family.
Perla Tate, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Vantage Medical Associates, P.C., which has locations in the Bergen Beach, Coney Island, Williamsburg, and Sheepshead Bay neighborhoods in Brooklyn, the Far Rockaway neighborhood in Queens, and Brentwood and Babylon, New York. Dr. Kakossian graduated Medical School with Honors and Distinction in 1991. She completed an exchange fellowship program at Columbia University, NY in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She graduated as Chief resident in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Lutheran Medical Center, NY.
Dr. Kakossian has done extensive research in Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery for different gynecologic conditions and produced many publications in this field. She was trained by and operated with the professor and founder of Laparoscopic Surgery Dr. H. Reich at Columbia University, NY. She lectured at International Conferences of Gynecologic Surgeons in Las Vegas, Miami, Montreal, and Atlanta and demonstrated the latest advances in Laparoscopic surgery in Moscow, Russia.
