Raised in Metro Detroit, Dr. Shetty completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Science in both Neuroscience and Spanish in 2014. He then worked as a secondary education teacher through Teach for America in Southwest Detroit. Through that experience, he gained an interest in health education, especially in teen pregnancy as the school accommodated pregnant students. This brought him to medicine, where he completed his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2020, further growing his passion for women's health. He stayed in Detroit to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Detroit Medical Center - Hutzel Women's Hospital in 2024.
