Jana Dopson Illston, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and urogynecologist serving patients at North Atlanta Ob/Gyn, which has locations in Alpharetta, Marietta, and Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Gumer was born and raised in New York. He received his Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, in 1976. He graduated from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC in 1984, and completed his residency training at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. As chief resident, he received the Thomas Boggs Award for Neonatal-Perinatal Research. Upon completion of his residency in 1988, he began practicing full-time in Atlanta and has been with the same group of physicians for almost 30 years.

Dr. Gumer enjoys providing care for both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies and values the long-term relationships he has made with his patients and their families. He is interested in all aspects of gynecologic care for women at various stages of their lives, from adolescent gynecology through the menopause years. Dr. Menon was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (GO HEELS!), where she majored in psychology. She then spent a few years working in the area of property management and clinical research. She returned to UNC for medical school and earned her Master's of Public Health during this time. Dr. Menon completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at UNC.

Dr. Menon fell in love with obstetrics during medical school, and her interests include contraception, weight gain during pregnancy, and minimally invasive surgery.
