Lauren Spiegel, MD, is a board-certified neurologist sub-specializing in movement disorders and currently serves patients at South Valley Neurology in Morgan Hill, California.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Spiegel completed a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and behavioral biology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She was awarded the Boisfeuillet Jones Medal for good citizenship, outstanding leadership, and devoted service to Emory University and the community, and was a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar. After attending the Medical College of Georgia, she trained at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During her residency, she spent several months at M.D. Anderson and received a resident teaching award each year.
Dr. Spiegel pursued a fellowship in movement disorders at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where she gained clinical experience with deep brain stimulation (DBS) and botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for neurologic conditions. At UCSF, she treated patients with Parkinson’s disease, other Parkinsonian disorders, essential tremor, ataxia, Huntington’s disease, dystonia, tardive dyskinesia, functional movement disorders, tics, and myoclonus. During her education, Dr. Spiegel has had research published in multiple academic journals, including the Journal of Neuroscience, Toxins, and Neuropsychopharmacology.
In the clinical setting, Dr. Spiegel listens to patients’ preferences regarding treatment to form a therapeutic alliance. She enjoys focusing on improving quality of life and optimizing medication regimens.
Zepure Kouyoumdjian, DO, or Dr. K, practices general neurology at South Valley Neurology in Morgan Hill, California. Dr. Kouyoumdjian is the founder of South Valley Neurology, which was established in 2011.

Dr. Kouyoumdjian received further training in epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders through the distinguished Henry Ford Health System, and training in headache disorders through the University of Michigan. More recently, she served as director of the stroke program at St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy, California.

Education has always shaped Dr. Ngo’s path. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and then completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
A residency and internship at the University of California Davis Medical Center further refined Dr. Ngo’s skill set. He remained at UC Davis to complete fellowship training in neurophysiology.
