Dr. Fred Cohen is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is one of the few headache specialists in the country trained in both Internal Medicine and Headache Medicine. Dr. Cohen received his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. Marielle is deeply interested in providing care to children, adolescents, and families. She has 10 years of experience working with youth and their families in various professional settings. Marielle interned at Magical Experiences Arts Company, an organization supporting children and adolescents with autism. She also has classroom experience, teaching nursery school-aged children.

Nick Fonarev, LSW, is an experienced social worker at Hudson River Care and Counseling, both virtually and in the office in Teaneck, New Jersey.

Nick received his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Columbia University in Manhattan, New York. He also earned a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He is currently working towards his clinical social work licensure (LCSW).

Sara graduated with honors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with her Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work with honors from New York University.

Her experience includes working with adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, and chronic illness. Sara utilizes an integrative approach in her practice, using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), strength-based therapy, and humanistic therapy, among others.

Sara also works at the International Multiple Sclerosis Management Practice (IMSMP) in New York City, where she provides therapy and other services for adults who are living with multiple sclerosis. In all of work, she strives to help her patients achieve equanimity and empowerment.

Sonia attended Brigham Young University-Idaho, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Family Systems and Child Development Studies. She then went on to earn a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Sonia stays up-to-date on all credentials and training. 

Sonia uses a variety of evidence-based approaches to treat the entire human being: mind, body, and spirit. Some common techniques include cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Sonia works with her patients to create a personalized treatment plan, pulling from whichever therapy styles are appropriate.
