Mayur C. Maniar, MD, is a mindful and attentive board-certified neurology specialist providing patient care at The Neurology Institute in Coral Springs and Sunrise, Florida.
Dr. Maniar received his medical degree from the University of Bombay in India. Since completing his neurology residency and fellowship in neuromuscular disorder at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, he has been serving the community in South Florida.
Dr. Maniar is a widely published physician with a vast array of lectures under his belt. He is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Trevor D. Barton, DO is a board-certified neurologist with advanced fellowship training in vascular neurology. Dr. Barton earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his time there, he was selected for the prestigious Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) Fellowship, where he gained additional clinical and academic training in osteopathic manipulative medicine and holistic patient care.
Following medical school, Dr. Barton completed his neurology residency at HCA HealthONE Swedish Medical Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the same institution, focusing on acute stroke care, stroke prevention, and advanced neuroimaging. With board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Barton is dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with stroke, epilepsy, migraines, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological disorders.
Dr. Georgy Cherkassky is a board-certified neurologist with comprehensive training and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological conditions. Following his undergraduate major in Psychology at New York's Hunter College, he earned his medical degree from SABA University School of Medicine, followed by a neurology residency at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he also completed an advanced fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Cherkassky is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has a strong clinical background in vascular neurology that includes practicing in New Jersey before relocating to Florida. Known for his thorough and patient-centered approach, Dr. Cherkassky is committed to delivering high-quality neurological care with a focus on stroke prevention, cerebrovascular disease, and complex neurological disorders.
Dr. Pawar is double board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology with an interest in hyperacute management of stroke and establishing systems of care. He received his medical degree at B.J. Medical College in India before going on to Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to complete an Internal Medicine residency followed by neurology residencies at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Following completion of his residencies, Dr. Pawar completed Fellowships in Vascular Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania, Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, and Advanced Vascular Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is coming to us from Duke University Medical Center where he served as Stroke Medical Director. He is widely published. He has varied interests and has participated in multiple clinical trials.
Sussel Vega Pupo, APRN began her career in medicine as an LPN before going on to receive her BSN. As a RN she worked as a charge nurse in the neuro intensive care unit as well as a critical care nurse before receiving her MSN from Florida National University. Sussel takes pride in providing the highest level of care to all patients.
Ivan Mikolaenko, MD, is a neurologist who completed medical school in Ukraine. He was a post-doctoral Fellow in Neurology at John’s Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD. He finished his neurology residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Following that, he completed a Neuro Critical Care Fellowship, Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia.
Dr. Mikolaenko is well versed in EMG NCS as well as reading EEG’s. He’s an experienced and diligent physician who’s proficient in many neurological disorders.
He has practiced for many years in New York and looks forward to serving the South Florida community.
Jesus Vargas Soto, APRN is a foreign physician from Venezuela. Upon relocating to the United States, he began working in the medical field as an RN. He continued his education in the United States to earn his MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner degree. Jesus is a caring and compassionate provider who enjoys providing patients with high-quality care. He has extensive experience in the medical field and is now accepting new and established patients at The Neurology Institute.
Dr. Wolfson received her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. She conducts neuropsychological evaluation and testing as well as providing psychotherapy sessions. Dr. Wolfson is fluent speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish.
Menachem Nagar, MD, is a neurologist with specialized training in vascular neurology. He works closely with patients at The Neurology Institute in Coral Springs and Sunrise, Florida. Dr. Nagar is fluent in English, Yiddish and Arabic.
Dr. Nagar completed medical school at the Technion Faculty of Medicine in Israel and his neurology training – including residency and fellowship in vascular neurology – at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Tabatha Sik, LISW, is a licensed independent social worker at the Rein Center, an integrative psychiatry practice based in Iowa City, Iowa. She has a passion for learning and incorporating various techniques into her treatment approach.
Ever since childhood, Tabatha has enjoyed helping others. As she grew older, she became fascinated by people's stories and loved hearing about their life experiences. She soon realized that her heart was leading her to become a therapist.
Tabatha earned her Bachelor of Arts in social work and English. She then pursued her Master of Social Work at Baylor University.
Since her time at Baylor, she's worked at a community health center and in private practice, seeing clients with all sorts of different life experiences. Tabatha has also received her teaching certification and was a teacher before joining Rein Center.
Tabatha specializes in helping patients who are experiencing adjustment difficulties, adoption-related issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, job-related stress, chronic medical conditions, and trauma and PTSD.
Tabatha is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy (for trauma), dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
