She has broad clinical experience with minors, adults, and older adults across correctional, community, and healthcare sites. She has also contributed to the development of competency restoration programs in Broward and Palm Beach Counties and published a Springer book chapter on cultural considerations in sex trafficking.
Her research interests include potentially traumatic events across immigrant and non-immigrant populations, best practices for assessment and treatment, and severe mental illness in diverse settings. Dr. Basilio specializes in psychological evaluations and trauma-informed therapy.
